I am new to this group but as I read from the email, I guess this maybe a front
cover to attract children to read. And I have some comments over the cover
design.



I think that the photo with children lining up and waiting for train is very
powerful. And I would suggest to use a less strong and bright colour, which is
red now as the background colour. Since I think this will distract the power of
the photograph.



I would suggest to use a dark background and use colourful alphabets to attract
children attention. As I have done a web site for a kindergarten and research
that kids like colour like colouful alphabets and this is what they feel
attractive and beautyl it.



I think the cover with dark red background and black word is not elegant enough
for adult, nor not ¡¥kid¡¦ enough for children.

Dear All,

At the meeting on the 22nd September, options for a picture for the
booklet's front cover were discussed. It was suggested that the one
Countryscape had originally chosen, showing the gas works, with the
burial ground at the front, was too boring a cover and wouldn't
encourage children to read the book. I have therefore put another
option into the files section for you to have a look at. Please let me
know what you think.

Countryscape hope to get the book printed next week and the CD
sometime after that. I will therefore put the pages on to the website
once they are finalised.
