Vandalism in Angel Meadows is just one manifestation of the massive
amount of crime that is happening around the area at the moment. Cars
have been broken into at the Tobacco Factory and over 5 cars at the
Linx Apartment block in recent weeks. Bikes have been stolen.
Apartment's broken into. What with all the building work that is
going
on, it is not uncommon to see strange looking boys and young men
walking around. You cannot be sure if they are working on the
building
sites or minding their own business or looking for trouble. I think
its awful that this has happened to the park. Such a complete lack of
respect. The renovation of the Park has been brilliant, as someone
who
has not really got involved but watched from afar. I'm not sure what
the solution is to stop vandals and criminals. Perhaps a better
police
presence. Or some kind of neighbourhood watch scheme specifically for
the apartment blocks surrounding the park and the park itself.
