Re: [angelmeadow] Angel Meadow

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the compliments.

On the FOAM website there is lots of useful information - see the folder:

Files
>
History Notesand

Files
>
Newsletters and Recruitment - which contains all our archived FOAM
newsletters.

Last year we secured a grant from the
Local Heritage Initiative which resulted in the information boards - and the
production of a glossy booklet entitled "St.Michael's Flags & Angel Meadow -
Then and Now". Appended to this is a CD ROM containing additional material. If
you or anyone else would like a free copy, please send me you name & address and
I'll pop one in the post.

Finally every year we try and arrange a Guided History walk around Angel Meadow
and Ancoats - we'll post details of the next proposed walk shortly on this FOAM
website and hope to see you there,

Regards,

Mike Wingfield

Hi,

My name is Steve Lynch and I live in Chadderton. I have been tracing

my family history and dicovered that one of my ancestors lived on

Angel Street in 1841. I came down to the area to have a look around

and saw all the work that you have done. It has given me great insight

to what life was like in Angel Meadow at that time. Thankfully things

have changed! I have read all the information boards that you have put

up but I would be interested in any more information you may have

about the area. I think you have all done a fantastic job at

preserving a piece of history.

Regards

Steve Lynch
