Hi Rob
welcome to the area! I actually live in Meadow View too - which apartment are
you in?
We investigated recycling bins a while ago.
Firstly, there is a big waiting list to get them.
Secondly, if we were to get them at Meadow View, beacuse of the slope in the
carpark to get the bins out, we would have to pay the cleaners a significantly
large amount of money each year to take these bins out. (We already pay them a
small fortune to take the existing bins out each Monday.)
This is all because the bin men refuse to come into the carpark to get the bins
because it slopes and it is a Health and Safety issue!
A bit of a design flaw on the part of the builders, I'm afraid.
So, we are not likely to get any recycling bins any time soon.
On another note, Rob have you bought your apartment? We're in the process of
changing managing agents as Dunlop Haywards were useless, and if you want to
know more about this, feel free ot email me at
kelly@..., and I'll
update you.

all who turned up to last Wednesday's FOAM Xmas party - it was great to catch up
with you all - lots of new people - which was fantastic and some have expressed
an interest about helping out in the group in 2008 - so we'll be in touch soon.
The night went well - although it was freezing in the Tobacco Factory!! I've
posted some photos on the website under Photos > FOAM Christmas Party Dec
2007.The evening was paid for out of our grant funding and came to £130 well
within budget. CAS:H Grant Despite securing a CAS:H grant for £650 for
restoration of the wall plaque on Aspin Lane, the payment has gone AWOL. We had
hoped to receive it by the beginning of December but it hasn't arrived. It's
more than likely that Manchester City Council's Voluntary Sector Policy and
Grants (VSPG) will be able to trace it and then hopeful early Jan we can ask the
contractors to begin the restoration. We hope that once finished we can organise
an Opening ceremony – so will need your help getting a famous person to unveil
the plaque. Well hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for
