I was about to send out a message about this to inform people that the event
held in the park yesterday was NOT the FOAM picnic which we advertised for TODAY
(which is now cancelled as the ground is wet).

It was some sort of pirate radio station rave and it was not given permission by
us, the council, the police or anyone else as far as I am aware. Several hundred
youths descended on the park and basically trashed it!

Thankfully the police turned up (in droves!) and dispersed the crowds at about
9pm. They also made them clean up beforehand but the park was still in a bit of
a state afterwards. I'm hoping the council are going to finish the job today.

We'll rearrange our Big Picnic for a dry weekend!
