I have submitted some comments. You can do it online through the planning
program as well as the ways you have described.
If anyone is submitting comments please don't forget to mention integrating the
building more into the park and supporting the park with investment!

Thanks Mike - these are very interesting. It will involve huge upheaval during
construction, and I'm not convinced by some elements eg there will only be 150
car parking spaces on site. They're talking about amalgamating many, many more
people than that on the site. Even with public transport links etc I'm sure that
isn't enough.
If you have concerns: we have 3 days to voice them!

Hi all,
It looks like you don't have to write in but can send comments to the council
via email too with the address: s.wills@manchester. gov.uk
I urge people to take an interest in shaping their local community area to get
the best out of it for current and future residents and park users!
>>>Also worth thinking about is the plans detail that Dantzic Street will be
closed - so there will be no more >>>access to the park from this street - this

to the park!!
Yes, I think that the closure of Dantzic street is also one of the major
concerns, too. This now provides most of the traffic access to the current car
park (approx where the underground car park for the new building will also be)
but if it's closed then most access to the new building will come from Angel
Street or Aspin Lane thus increasing traffic flow down these narrow, car lined
streets right next lots of residential buildings. It seems like it would also be
likely to increase traffic flow past the park with the creation of rat runs
through the Ludgate Hill residential area in general. Deliveries involving large
lorries will also have to be made - we could perhaps request for this to happen
only down certain roads.
The proposed pick up/drop off point leads off Angel Road and this too will
create traffic noise and increased traffic levels for the properties on Angel,
Naples and Style Street as well as the surrounding streets.
It seems to me that it would be better if Dantzic Street is kept open so that it
can provide the main access to the building for the car park and the pick
up/drop off point.
I am also concerned by the general size of the building proposed as it is much
bigger than the surrounding residential flats. The height is accentuated by the
width of the building too. I think the height should be reduced by around 4
floors to make it fit in better with the residential buildings so that they
won't be dwarfed by it.
Cheers,
Dan.

Hi there,
As some people were having difficulty accessing the plans - and to ensure that
we have them archived I've uploaded the key documents to the file section of
this website, check out:
Files > Co-Op Headquarters Proposal
Also worth thinking about is the plans detail that Dantzic Street will be closed
- so there will be no more access to the park from this street - this is surely
a big concern as this road is the key throughfare to from the city to the park!!
Get writing your concerns to the Council!
Regards,
Mike
