RE: [angelmeadow] Free Trees

Dear Jon,

Many thanks for your kind offer – I have spoken with Cathy Hartley and
Sophie Armstrong from Groundwork about this and they are keen first to check
out our development plans with the architect before we accept your offer.

I feel that some more trees could be planted near the proposed disabled
entrance onto Gould Street and also in the far corner near the railway
bridge. I don’t feel a huge number are required maybe 4 –6 saplings could be
planted. We are hoping on doing some planting early next year and this could
be part of that project.

Regards
Mike

Subject: [angelmeadow] Free Trees

Dear all,

From recycling cans across Manchester between 2003-04, Manchester
City Council have been awarded 594 trees of different species (Oak
10%, Rowan 40%, Hazel 20%, Scots Pine 20%, Bird Cherry 10%). They
all two year old cell grown saplings (40-65cm high). These trees can
be used in any planting scheme across Manchester.

Do you think that the St Micheals project could use these trees? I
can't guarantee numbers at the stage, but am just seeing if anyone
would be interested obtaining some free trees and have projects
already in place (or could create a project by this years planting
season)?

Please email any potential projects,

Thanks
Jon
