We've decided not to have any more pets in the near future. How about you?
Have you had any pets since Daisy?

*****Sorry to hear about Ollie, Sue - my cat Daisy
died at the end of November, and I still can't

its absolutely stunning. & early evening walks are wonderful, the
light is amazing the whole time there but at dusk it is so
inspiring. & as for the city, Charles Bridge & the castle all lit
up at night *sigh* its like another world

Hello,

Sad news - my cockatiel, Ollie, died over the weekend. I've had a horrible few
days but hopefully things will get better soon.

Hopefully next time you ask us I'll have more positive news!

Looks like they're updating Ray's website again. I'm going to take a look later
on.

Hope everyone else is OK.

oooo hard choice, gotta echo the tracks you said - i've always LOVED
Waterloo Sunset & Death of a Clown but the rest of the album is ace
esp Two Sisters and the other 10 tracks!!!!

Autumn Almanac - again a song i've loved for years, amd yeah again -
the tracks you said!

well my problem with public transport was the first train was
delayed, half the Lon underground was closed and then the train home
had to be diverted so i had to get on a bus from Stafford to
Stoke!!!!!!!!

I've got that CD and there's some fab songs on it. Of
course 'Waterloo Sunset' is *quality*. Personally I also
like 'David Watts', 'Situation Vacant', 'Afternoon Tea', 'Love Me
Till The Sun Shines', 'Two Sisters', 'Harry Ragg' (makes me laugh
everytime I hear that one, LOLa !), 'Death of a Clown' and 'Tin
Soldier Man'.

I haven't been the websites either, but sounds good! You
never know - perhaps the album will be out then!

I wish I was going anyway - especially musical places. I
did go to the Reading festival at the last minute - I felt
so old!!! I'd at least heard of most of the bands, but
everyone else looked about 12!

Not much to report here - still jobless, but the novel
is almost finished! Hooray! Now to start thinking about
lengthy rewrites and edits...

Hello Kinksters !

The song on TOTP2 was Lola. This has been on before.

I'm sure I'll have lots of fun in early September when I have a few days break
from work! If it wasn't for the invention of oscillating fans, I'd be roasting
in my office !

Do any of you visit either Ray or Dave's web sites? On Ray's web site it

I think showing entire shows would be a good idea -
they could do specials like that, as I realise that
not all songs are memorable/actually good. Then
again, I wonder at some of the choices they do
show, and it would be good to jog the memory.

What are you all up to in this heat? I am currently

I didn't watch yesterday's edition.

I've taped today's TOTP2 as I knew The Kinks and Madness were going to be on it.
The songs are Lola and My Girl according to the TOTP2 e-zine I'm subscribed to.

I bet TOTP2 has more viewers than Top of The Pops - LOLa !! I've heard there's
going to be a revamp for Top of The Pops. I'd love it if they showed old
editions of TOTP. One week an editon from 1981, the following from 1978 etc.
That would be interesting !

Oh! I hope your mum's feeling better now. That
must have been horrible for you!
Happy birthday Sue's dad! :)

Thankfully the ambulance soon turned up. Tomorrow (14th July) is my
dad's birthday - he'll be 70 years old. Although he doesn't look a
day over 70! My mum & dad are usually in very good health so it was
a shock when I found my mum lying on the floor!

Hello !

This week has been an hectic week. My mum was rushed into hospital on Monday
7th July. She's now thankfully getting better and is recovering at home. She
came out of hospital on Friday. It was horrible discovering my mum lying on the
bathroom floor! Thankfully the ambulance soon turned up. Tomorrow (14th July)

Apart from that, everything's going OK.

Hope you had a good birthday, Sue - that's my sister's
birthday!

Sorry for my l-o-n-g absence. The end of my course
was pretty hectic, and I'm looking for a job at the
minute. But I'm only looking for a part-time job,
so I can do more writing. I'm also thinking of
doing a creative writing course, but I'm struggling
to find one for next year that still has spaces!

How is everyone else doing?

Although I didn't see any of Ray's gigs, I've heard some good reports. I'm glad

I have reverted to my usual lazy self, though it has been a
long time since I was last ill.
And it's my birthday in nine days!!!
