Hi
The bikes have been discontinued this year due to new European maximum
pollution levels. Unfortunately, the RS had no chance of getting through
them so Suzuki stopped production of the engine which forced Aprilia to
stop building the chassis.
You could probably still find one new if you looked hard enough but
they're now a dieing breed. Shame as it's the end of an era for me, I've
had six two strokes, from a TS50 to a RG500, all of them excellent
bikes. MCN advised people, at the time, to get one now and keep it as
it's the best bike ever produced and it'll never be repeated or
equalled. Mine is all tucked up safe in the garage!
Andy.
