Dearest Dancers and Friends!
We are happy to be applying the final touches to what promises to be a fab HAFLA 2MORO (INCH ALLAH!) Golders Green Parish church hall, North End Rd. Golders Green, London NW11 (just out of Golders Green Tube/bus station, opp. BBC Hippodrome)
1. The COMBO Sexy Sega/Isis wings takes place at 4-6pm. You can still turn up for it, For the "Sexy Sega" in the first hour, we will learn an exciting choreography on JEAN CLAUDE 's no 1 hit "Doby de classe". There's a gorgeous velvet SKIRT thrown in for workshop participants! what more can you ask for??, music will be available to buy. For the second hour, we will do the short version of "Layalina" using Isis
wings. Bring a large veil or Isis wings if you have them. I will bring mine for people to practice with, the lovely Maayaan will have a couple in her bazaar. LEARN SOMETHING NEW, BE BOLD, BE VERY BOLD!
2. Attached is the programme with a lovely bevy of professional performers, some
of whom are presenting a group of their students in the true spirit of HAFLA. Performers please allow plenty of time to get to Golders Green and be ready in good time. we start promptly at 6.30pm, but you should be costumed, made up and sipping a glass of chilled wine/water as near enough to 6pm as possible.
3. Pls dont forget you are bringing a
dish to share (pls finger buffet, no microveable shish kebabs pleezze!!
4. There'll be a cash bar, raffle and plenty of time for dancing. Bring a copy of your fav music to dance to and plenty of money to buy Maayaan's lovely stuff.
We take this opportunity to welcome JEAN CLAUDE GASPAR who's making a stop at the hafla before embarking on his UK and European tour. Thanks to all the performers and students for their contribution and look forward to a great SPRING HAFLA 2007.
