A Mission Post by Captain Korath & Commander Kestiana Sahal
Mission: Prime Directive
Location:
Timeline:

Captain Korath stood in his quarters, specifically the door leading to Ba'el's room. The room was bare save for a few duffle bags left in a heap in the middle of the floor. The room somehow seemed like looking onto the deck of what ancient sea fairing people used to call a ghost ship. He had not yet come to terms with the thought of his daughter leaving the ship. perhaps the reason he was having difficulty with this was due to the fact that the news of Ba'el wanting to leave to find her own path came as a bomb shell a few weeks ago. He had thought, like so many other plans she had, that she would forget about this in a week or two. That was however not the case when he came home to a wall of suit cases being packed.

"Dad you didn't think I'd stay home forever? I'm just a communications link away." She said softly knowing he had hoped that she'd have given up on finding her own path after having talked to him about it. "Besides all the arrangements have been made. you don't have to worry about anything."

Korath turned at the sound of his daughter's voice. "I have no trouble with you finding your way. I have a problem of you being a quadrant away. I find it difficult to forget what had happened the last time I was not there and Duirll had held you captive." He said stopping himself again. Durill was gone and she would be at starfleet command. That did however bring up another issue he had, her lack of commitment to join the academy and choosing to enlist as an NCO.

She knew how much her father worried and moved to hug him. "I'm going to be at Starfleet command, if you want I'll make regular communication's to check in with you." She said as she hugged him. She always felt safe in his arms and was going to miss him just as much as he worried about her. but as much as she felt safe she couldn't be afraid all her life and if she stayed here with him she wouldn't think very highly of herself...

Karina was coming off her shift when she entered the quarters she shared with Korath and his daughter taking off her uniform jacket she started towards the bedroom when she saw the two of them in the hall outside Ba'el's Door. She smiled at them. "is it that time already?" She asked hating to see Ba'el go as much as her father did hell at the rate they were going Ba'el was going to be the only daughter she knew... and the brat wasn't hers by blood just because she loved her as much as Korath did.

"It would seem so. " Korath said. "The Medussa is standing by for one last trip before she meets back up with the Enterprise task group." he paced around the room. "While I am pleased you are coming into your own, I am unsure where this wish to join starfleet came from so quickly."

"From you. I see what you do here, you make a difference your strong and brave, and I want to be like you even if I disliked all of this about you when I first joined you on this ship after mom's death I also saw how it affected you I want to make you proud dad."

Korath returned the Hug. It was one of the few times he showed any sort of affection to anyone outside his quarters. "I have always been proud of you Child." He said. "If this is what you really want, then you have my support."

"Thanks dad." Ba'el said grateful for his support.

Karina smiled at them glad that Korath was giving Ba'el support.

Korath broke the hug and looked at Ba'el. "Have you thought about which department you wanted to serve in?" asked.

"I don't know, I was thinking tactical, maybe operations?" She said looking up at him.

Korath would always have a soft spot for the Gold uniform, Having technically started in Tactical himself all those years ago. "The targ does not stray far from the nest i see." He grinned a little. "The training will be hard many do not make it." he said as a sort of klingon encouragement.

"I am Klingon, the daughter of Korath, I would not dishonor you by tucking tail and running away." She smiled up at him.

Korath laughed loud. Those words somehow sounded odd coming from her. She was his daughter, and as such had her own stubborn streak, but she had always taken after her mother, she was much more human than Klingon. "I have no doubt that you will make me proud." He said. He cared little what other klingons would think. He cared about what made her happy and that she tried her best.

"Then I have done my duty." She grinned teasingly.

"Duty has many meanings in the Federation." Korath said calmly. "You do me honor by taking my wishes into account." finished.

She smiled up at him, "Then I am happy and I should probably get back to packing." She frowned not really wanting to leave this tender family moment they weren't exactly rare just that he worked a lot.

"Let me help. The Medussa captain will want to get under way as soon as possible. And I would speak to you before you leave." he said.

"Alright dad." She smiled thankful for the help. "Looks like you'll be stuck with Just Nikki for a while." She grinned the girl was after all just like having a sister.

"Yes she takes after you for your pention for causing trouble." he let a toothy grin curl his lip.

"Well you've got to admit we made a good team, we've caused most of it by scheming together." She grinned knowing that her father was going to miss her...

"Come, lets not have you miss the Medussa." Korath said ignoring the admission.

"Wait your not going anywhere Until I can get a hug from my favorite step daughter!" Karina said finally letting them know she was there and walked over too the half Klingon/Human much like her own blood line and gave Ba'el a strong hug.

A Mission Post by Commander Kestiana Sahal & Ba'el & Captain Korath
Mission: Prime Directive
Location:
Timeline:

Leaving the ship? Why would anyone want to leave the ship. Ok so Nikki actually understood why anyone would want to leave the Archer. She couldn't imagine leaving herself. This was her home, she loved the people on board, they were her family, her teachers, her friends, her mentors. She had her doctor here and she didn't trust anyone but Doctor Raygard when it came to her medical situation. he was trying to save her heart rather than replace it.

Now her best friend was moving on and leaving the ship and her guardian Korath wasn't completely happy about it but he wasn't completely against it either. She and Ba'el were best friends, Ba'el will make new friends, but they would keep in contact so this wasn't goodbye this was good luck. Leaving her room she looked around to see if Ba'el was already up and out or no?

Ba'el was on her way to the transporter room with the last of her belongings. Everyone was so nice, if a little sad that she was going away to enlist. She nearly ran into Nikki. "Whoa. Hey I didnt see you there. where you looking for me?"

"Yep, Are you really leaving?" She asked though she did believe it. Ba'el wasn't one to come up with this kind of decision without having thought of it long and hard first.

"It looks that way." She said. "Father said he made the arrangements with the Medusa to take me back to starbase 22, from there I go to earth for 16 weeks." She reached out and squeezed Nikki's hand. "Don't worry, I wont be gone forever. and I can always visit on leave." she smiled.

Nikki gave Ba'el's hand a squeeze in return. "I know I'm still going to miss you, but even though you make new friends. that doesn't mean we'll stop being friends." Nikki moved to hug Ba'el. "just be safe out there your the closest thing I have to a sister."

The Half Klingon gave Nikki a light punch in the shoulder, "What do you mean closest?" she said in a mock hurt tone. "I would say you could come with me, but someone has to stay here and watch out for Father."

"Ouch! Hey what was that for I just said you were my sister!" Nikki smirked and punched Ba'el back. "Yeah we cant both abandon him can we?" She teased her best friend.

"You said close to." Ba'el corrected. "The only thing is, I think I may have packed your favorite sweater in my things." she said in mock sheepishness. "I wont be able to return it until after I get out of BST."

"That's ok I still have that skirt you loaned me in the closet." She grinned. "And you know I mean more than close Ba'el..." Nikki said knowing that Ba'el hadn't done it accidentally but that was ok. they were the same size and it wasn't unusual for one of them to enter the others room and just borrow something.

"Well i figured if it was a big deal, you would simply have to come and visit me to get it back." she winked.

"Oh I plan to anyways after all I have to return that skirt you loaned me also. so we better start setting a date because first chance I get I'm coming to visit, besides I've never been to San Fransisco." She grinned...

"Neither have I. So we are even." Ba'el Admitted. as they turned down the last corridor toward the transporter room. the corridor was lined with all her friends on the crew, there were even a few she did not recognize.

Even Manami was there, she hadn't exactly moved on after they'd rescued her. so she was among the group of friends. She hugged Ba'el tightly. "you know the archer isn't going to be the same without you, so don't be surprised if I come visit you where ever you are with Nikki." She grinned thinking about moving on herself really she was healed and had been trying to figure out what to do with herself. but being an adult unlike Nikki let her live in her own quarters instead of needing a guardian.

Ba'el hugged her back. "I will miss you." She said.

She and Nikki walked down the corridor, off duty crewmen and officers alike nodded respectfully as they stood at attention. the young half Klingon had never served aboard a starship. But she knew from stories her father had told her, that an honor guard was the highest respect one could offer someone departing a starship. they rounded the last corner and entered the transporter room. The entire senior staff stood there in front of her. Ba'el felt a bit overwhelmed.

Nikki was close to tears at the honor guard really hit home that her best friend wasn't going to be aboard anymore. if it were herself she knew that this would make her feel overwhelmed so she gave Ba'el's arm a supportive squeeze.

Ba'el was nearly as moved as Nikki, however to her credit, she did not show it much. she silently nodded and regarded the senior staff as they all said their goodbye's before approaching the final three, The Xo and her father and Karina, whom ended up being as close to mom as anyone could have been.

Karina smiled proudly at Ba'el whom was accompanied by Nikki, The young woman whom was as much a daughter to her as her own flesh and blood could be and she was so very proud of her.

Ba'el spoke no words, she simply looked at Karina and bowed her head slightly. She stopped in front of Commander Sahal, the Woman she came to respect as her father's conscience when it came to Command decisions.

Kestiana smiled at Ba'el and bowed her head slightly to the young woman who would be leaving them to find her own path. Kestiana had no doubt that the woman would make her family aboard the archer very proud of her, However she had a gift for Ba'el, which she'd tucked into Ba'el's hand now. It was a silly gift really for a klingon, but one that would always remind Ba'el of the archer. it was a silver charm that Kestiana had detailed for the young woman that was replica of the very ship that Ba'el would be leaving. if worn on a long enough chain the Klingon could hide it close to her heart under her uniform.

The young woman smiled at the gift. "Did you think I would forget you all here?" She asked more to herself than to the Commander. "Thank you, I will treasure it." she said. she turned to her father. She looked down, not being to help the feeling that she should stay.

"This is the start of your own Glorious adventure. A path that only you can walk. A path your Mother would have been proud to have seen you undertake." he said as he handed her his own gift. It was a locket that was molded to look like his family crest, the crest that he gave her mother before his exile form the Empire after her death. Inside was a holo image of him and her mother. there was another image of Karina. a small hollow space in the door would allow the small charm to rest inside.

Ba'el was now in tears. It was not a trait that a Klingon should have portrayed but she could not help it. Her Father gave her a hug one last time before she stepped onto the transporter pad for one last look at the crew and nodded as if to say thank you to them all. She'd hear Kestiana call for the farewell salute and see the crew come to attention for her, before the transporter beam took her.

A Mission Post by Lieutenant Jason Raygard M.D. & Captain Korath & Commander Kestiana Sahal
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Sickbay/Bridge
Timeline:

Sickbay ~ Office of the CMO ~

Jason Raygard had to admit that he was not looking forward to this. While he knew he had nothing to fear really even so he didn't like to bother the Captain with something as trivial as an annual physical. He'd put it off as long as he possibly could. So with a deep breath he took the bull by the horns so to speak and tapped his comm-badge.

"Raygard to Captain Korath."

The Klingon tapped the comm on the arm of his command throne. "Korath here, what can I do for you doctor?"

"I am sorry to bother you Sir. However your due for your annual physical. I was hoping that you might have the time either come down to Sickbay or I can come to your quarters if you like. Witchever would make you more comfortable. I can garentee to you that it will only take about twenty minutes of your time either way?"

Korath growled under his breath. How anyone got any work done when these StarFleet doctors had to constantly prod at Command personnel to engage in useless displays of physical readyness was beyond him. "If you doubt my physical condition doctor, might i suggest you join my martial arts class on thrusday nights? However, As I am sure Commander Sahal will tell me, I am free in 20 minutes. I shall see you there... Korath out."

"Aye Captain. I will see you then." the doctor smiled. He'd managed to catch the Klingon in a good mood it seemed. He just hoped that when he saw the other man that his mood hadn't soured any.

When the comm-link closed Jason let out the breath he was holding and said to himself. "That went better then I thought it would." He immediately got up from his desk and moved in to the Main Ward of Sickbay once he was in the center of the room he cleared his throat and then spoke in a tone alittle above normal to get his staff's attention. "Ladies and gentlemen... Our esteamed Commanding Officer is going to be joining us in a few minutes for his annual physical." That little announcement got the attention of everyone in the room as they all stopped what they where doing and looked at the CMO, Jason continued. "I just wanted you all to have fair warning." his tone going light and he could see the some of them breaking into knowing smiles. "I would sudgest that unless you are absolutely needed here in the main ward, then it would be best to stay out from under foot for the next 30 minutes or so."

The nurses and medics started to scatter in every which direction some going towards the Surgical Suites others towards the Medical labs. Once a few of his more seasoned staff choose to remain behind. Two nurses and one medic.

He smiled when Amanda Baker came up beside him and handed him a PADD. "Thank you Amanda. He took the PADD and started to skim over the Captain's medical file with a grin. "Well I will say this much for Korath, no unmended broken bones to reset in the last year. I think he took my words of advice to heart the last time I had him in Sickbay."

"That is Possible, but then the last mission cant compare to this mission though we sustained heavy damage there wasn't nearly as much fighting this time around...

Clearing his throat as he watched the other nurse and medic start to set up Bio-Bed One for the Captian and get the needed equipment together for a moment before his eyes returned to the PADD and he continued reading. "Amanda as you know.. The Captain is the senior most officer on the ship so I am going to require that you be there to witness and assist me as I do his physical work up. Medical regulations demand that I have someone there with me."

"If you thought you could keep me away your joking. I'm sorry but he's like a bear with a hurt ear and I'd rather he not growl at you too much so yeah I'm staying." She grinned...

He chuckled softly. "Oh he's not that bad... When you get right down to it. The Captain might detest having to have a physical preformed but on the most base level he knows that if he wants to remain in the "big chair" on the Archer then he has to make time for me and come down to Sickbay."

Jason moved to Bio-Bed One and then had the Medical Sensor array preform a level 5 self diagnostic on itself to be sure it was running at full capacity a few minutes later the computer informed him it was functioning at 94%, which was well within Starfleet specs. With a grunt he said "Now we sit and wait."

Amanda took a seat...

Korath lumbered through the doors to sickbay. He looked around the nearly empty room. "Doctor, I am here, lets get this over with!" Korath said in a very loud voice typical of a klingon.

Raygard actually jumped ever so slightly at the booming sound of the Captain's voice and had to tighten his grip on his tricorder that was in his hand so he didn't accidently drop it. Clearing his throat he smiled and then waved the Klingon towards Bio-Bed One. "This way Sir, if you can just have seat. I will try to make this as fast and as painless as possilbe."

Once the Korath was seated he opened his tricorder and started to take needed scans to update the Captain's Medical file as he worked he asked. "Is there anything of late that should be brought to my attention Sir?" Raygard knew asking this question would most likely bring a "No." but he still had to ask regardless.

"No"

Looking at Amanda for a moment he said. "We might as well update the Captain's blood work while he's here. If you can take a 5 cc sample for the lab." As he continued to use the handheld sensor. His brows came together in concentation. "I am reading a very slight elevation in your core temperature Sir it's only off by .7 of a degree. You haven't been off the ship as of late so it can't be a virus that is causing the spike. At the moment I am going to say it could very well be due to any number of factors." he moved the sensor so he could take a detailed scan of the Captain's head and neck area and found it normal. "Have you been experiencing any undue stress at all?"

"Have you ever commanded a starship doctor?" The Klingon asked. "There is no such thing as 'undue' stress. It's all meant for the captain." he said dryly

Jason watched as Amanda took the requested blood sample with the reverse hypo from the Captain's neck. "Get that to the lab and have them do a full work up on it I'd like to try and narrow down the reason for this spike in temp."

"Yes doctor." Amanda said however instead of asking another nurse to do so she took it to the lab and ordered a rush on a full work up for the captain before returning to the Doctors side since she was needed there.

Closing his tricorder he stepped so that he was standing in front of the Captain. "Well I'd say you have a clean bill of health for the time being Sir. But I would ask that if you feel the fever worsening make your way down to Sickbay and i will give you a hypo to try and break it."

Korath Got up off the bio bed and stood in front of the doctor. "I shall endeavour to do that doctor."

A Mission Post by Commander John Piper & Commander Kestiana Sahal & Lieutenant Commander Matt Caldwell
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Deck 7 - Cargo Bay 2
Timeline:

=/= Cargo Bay 2 =/=

John read the report one more time while waiting for his new charge, an Ensign Stannis, and was bemused by his disbelief that anyone would show such disrespect to Commander Sahal, Captain Korath, or the Archer herself. "If the Ensign thinks this ship is a heap of rubbish, then I'll show him the worst job we have," the CEO thought. Glancing at the chronometer, it was only a few minutes away before Stannis was due to report, so he waited and composed himself.

Ensign Stannis grumbled all the way to Cargo Bay 2, as he was escorted by a security officer. He yawned as he reached the door and stopped. "You know. I'm not feeling well. I think I'll go to Sickbay now." The Ensign complained. The security officer was seemingly unmoved by this development.

"Get in there." He barked. He opened the door to the cargo bay and gave a push to direct Stannis in front of Commander Piper.

"Your worker, sir." The security officer said, as he himself came to attention.

"Thank you, officer. You're dismissed," John said as he eyed Stannis.

Stannis looked Piper top to bottom, before the urge to make a comment overwhelmed him: "So you're this ship's engineer, eh? I'm not impressed."

John started to circle Stannis as he spoke. "Well, then it's a *good* thing that I don't impress you because it's not my *job* to impress you, Ensign. I don't give a damn what you think, what you say, or how you feel. You're here to do a job. How long you're here depends entirely on you, how you act, how you behave, and how good of a job you do." John stopped behind the insubordinate officer and leaned in, speaking in a low, clear, and stern tone directly into Stannis' ear. "Are we clear?" he asked, putting a slight emphasis on each word.

Kestiana wanted to see how well Stannis followed orders for his punishment, she also wanted to make sure the 'Ensign' didn't give Commander Piper too much of a problem. Quietly Kestiana entered Cargo bay 2 and made her way towards the two officers. She didn't say a word, but leaned against one of the cargo containers and watched the two of them...

Stannis folded his arms and continued his overtly defiant behavior: "Fine ... what do you want me to do?"

John straightened up walked around in front of Stannis. "The Captain has assigned you to assist my department in 'waste extraction.' And that's exactly what you will be doing."

Sighing again, Kyle repeated himself: "What do you want me to do, sir?"

"Grab yourself a maglift, two empty Mark I Biohazard waste containers, and one canister of biopathogen neutralizer. Once you've done that, we're going on a special trip that few crewmembers ever get the chance to take." It took all of John's concentration to withhold the smile that so desperately wanted to cross his lips. If this Ensign was so interested in garbage and waste, then John was going to make sure that he was going to immerse him in it - so to speak.

Ensign Stannis walked to the storage closet and emerged wearing the standard personal protective equipment for biohazard handling, a full body suit with independent breathing apparatus. The suit was heavy, rigid, and quite uncomfortable but it was also save. He pulled a maglift forward, with the canister of biopathogen neutralizer, as well as the empty biohazard containers he had been told to get.

"I'm ready, sir." He said.

Kestiana managed to keep a straight face as she watched the two. Ensign Stannis' guards' hadn't gone far they weren't going to be happy when they were told that they were to go with him and guard the door to make sure Stannis didn't skip out on his 'detention'. or cause too much of a problem as he seemed prone to do...

"Very good," John said with the pleasant tone one would use with a child. "Now, we are going to go to Deck 18 via the Maintenance Lift. On Deck 18 we are going to head to the Waste Recycling System for maintenance and cleanup." John stepped to the side and offered an open hand towards the door of the cargo bay. "After you, Ensign," he said.

Begrudgingly, Stannis pushed the anti-grav unit, containing his waste cleanup supplies.

Kestiana moved away from where she was leaning to follow the CEO and the Ensign to see how things play out. she motioned to the security officers to join her and stay out of the way for now...

As they walked, Stannis spoke in a soft, contrite tone to Commander Piper: "Sir ... I am very sorry for comments I made about the Archer's Engineering department. I need to work to control my impulses. Perhaps a Vulcan mind exercise on the holodeck would be an effective way of dealing with this problem."

"Perhaps, Ensign, but the Captain has assigned you to me today and I have an important task for you to complete. I admire your introspection, and I will include your idea in my report to the command staff. But for now, we head to Deck 18."

John opened the doors to the lift and escorted Stannis in. He also allowed the Security escort and XO to join him. He wondered why Kestiana had taken such a personal interest in this assignment, but thought it wise to not interact with her or the Security officers. As the lift descended, John considered briefly allowing the guards to leave because they were not needed. But he decided not to as the more who participated in Stannis's punishment, the greater the potential for humility to enter into the insubordinate officer.

=/= Deck 18 =/=

As the doors to the lift opened, John stepped confidently into the hallway. "Follow me please, Ensign," he said, not looking back at him.

"Right" Stannis said with a noncommittal tone, as he continued to drag the antigrav unit down the deck.

The Archer was her ship she wanted to make sure that Stannis didn't worm her way out of punishment, plus she has never witnessed the CEO's disciplinary methods and was curious as to how the man worked. However there was no time to explain this to Piper at the moment so would have to wait until Stannis was working on the 'waste' he was given as task... and the security were Stannis' guard they were to make sure Stannis went from duty, to quarters, to punishment. and no where in between. basically a baby sitting job but they enjoyed making wise ass remarks behind Stannis' back.

John pressed a button on the panel next to the door for the Waste Recycling Area and stepped in. A not-so-subtle odor escaped the room, though it was not overpowering. "This is the antechamber to the main recycling service area," the CEO explained. "Here you could have suited up with these standard issue coveralls, goggles, gloves, boots, and mask; however, you decided to don the full hazmat gear. Probably not a bad idea as you're definitely not used to smell around here. Although you will get your fair share of it even through that getup."

John walked over to a storage cabinet and opened it, pulling out a small shovel. "This is your scoop," he said, handing it to Stannis. "Now, let me show you what you'll be doing with this."

The Chief was right, as the odor penetrating his environmental suit was already well-described as pungent. He took the scoop and hesitantly looked to the job ahead: "You know, I have 10 bars of gold-pressed latinum I've been saving. ... Tell me, Chief, have you ever been to Risa?"

Kestiana cleared her throat and glared at the Ensign adding bribery to the list of his faults so far and scowled at the Ensigns attempt to buy off the Engineering Chief with her right there to witness knowing that John wouldn't accept though she didn't say anything and instead decided to leave the punishment up to the Chief for this added strike against Stannis...

Thankfully John's back was turned to Stannis when the bribe was offered, because he didn't repress the smile. He couldn't believe the Ensign's - cajones - at making such an offer. He composed himself long enough to take a deep breath before opening the inner chamber door.

The door swooshed open to reveal a room that was covered in a slightly colorless viscous slime. The odor was enough to knock a Targ over. "Have you ever wondered what material we use to replicate everything from components to food? Well, this is it," said the CEO. "More exactly, this is what happens when replicators malfunction and don't process all of the waste properly."

John turned to Stannis and said, "Your job is to use that scoop, put the material into the empty containers, and place it in the receptacle on the other side of that room. Once all of the material is collected, press the green button on the receptacle to manually process it back to its proper inert status. Then use the neutralizer to wipe down the room. These guards will stay with you to ensure that you do your job."

As John exited the antechamber back into the hallway, he passed one of the guards and said, "I bet you'll look differently at your steak from now on." Then John motioned for Kestiana to exit with him. Before he closed the outer door he left Stannis with one last piece of advice. "Oh, Ensign! Try not to slip."

Kestiana gave Stanis a pointed look before joining John. "How about some lunch John? I'm sure your due for a break?" She smiled approving of how he had handled that.

Stannis looked back as he walked into the pit of insipid waste. "You know, I don't care what you say. This smell is God-awful and I think I'm going to vomit. But Commander Lenera's quarters were still far more pungent. I think, after this, I will have a bioteam begin a quarantine to prevent the feline stench from contaminating the entire deck."

It was not often that Korath and his mate happened to be off shift at the same time. One of the hazards of choosing a career in StarFleet. Karina would be off shift in 30 min, Korath negotiated his large frame through the doors to his Quarters. "Computer, lights." he called out as he removed his uniform jacket and tossed it on the back of a chair. He walked to the replicator to order a drink. Before he could order, the comm sounded.

Ok so she knew it was the hassles of being part of the command team, but knowing that Korath worked far too much calling him back wasn't something she wanted to do but it was necessary, "Captain I'm sorry to disturb you, but your needed on the bridge Sir." She said into the combadge..

Korath let out a large breath and turned to retrieve the Uniform jacket he tossed on the chair. He slipped it back on and fastened it then tapped his comm badge. "Understood Commander, On my way." He replied as he walked out of the room.

=/= a few minutes later =/=

The Klingon entered the bridge. "Report!" he said as he took a position next to Kestiana.

"Captain, we're picking up sensor readings on increased mobilization in the City, there's chatter on their military line involving a missing prisoner." Kestiana said getting to the point.

"Prisoner?" Korath asked. That did get his attention. "Do you think it could be Commander Caldwell?" he asked. He turned to the science station. "Ensign, scan the surface, see if there is a way you can pin point the commander's location."

"It could be, but there's no way of knowing until A: The scan's pick up something or B: we beam the unknown aboard the ship which is ill-advised. we could send a team down if we cant pick up anything on scans however that risks more of our crew as well." Kes said... waiting for the Ensigns scans hoping that they bore fruit.

Treon didn't generally bother with the goings-on on the bridge, and today was no exception. She was far too intent on the equations running on her console, and tuned out everything else. It was only when the officer next to her poked her in the ribs that she realized she had to do something. But what? She glanced over at her neighbor, mouthing the question. Luckily for both of them, the CO and XO were busy talking, so Treon could get a quick update.

"Uh.." The science officer tapped at her console to start the requested scan. Then decided announcing she was only starting now would not be a good idea. "I'm not picking up anything yet, sir."

"Does that mean you are not picking up Human life signs or are the sensors still not able to penetrate the interference in the system?" Korath asked. "Keep scanning, If there is a way to cut through the interference, I want to know."

"Yes, sir." Trying to catch up with her task, Treon tried a few additional scans, but couldn't pick up any sign of the Commander or his com-badge. Mumbling under her breath, she glanced at all the other info on her console. There was a flurry of communications activity on the planet.. maybe she was looking for the wrong thing. If the Archer's officer was on the run, she could easily follow his pursuers.

Transposing both visual and audio data on a map, she turned towards the command officers. "Sir, the Atraxi search parties are heading north." Assuming they were heading in the right direction.

"Would a probe help to strengthen our signal to break through the atmosphere to get a reading on if it's Commander Caldwell by narrowing the filter bandwidth?" Kestiana asked.

"I would not want to risk a probe without a good reason to risk it being detected."Korath replied. "I will however take what I can. Have security and Medical standing buy in transporter room 3." He turned to the Science station. "Do what you can to cut through the interference, I want to be able to communicate with Caldwell."

"Aye, sir." Her face safely pointed away from the CO, Treon rolled her eyes.

"If we cannot find the commander with our sensors, we may have to send teams down there to search manually. I would want to avoid any further contamination of this culture, especially any confrontation with the locals." Korath said to Commander sahal as they moved slightly away from the science station while the Ensign worked on clearing up the communications.

"Sending a team down would put them at risk of being detained as well, but it would be easier for a team to find Commander Caldwell and stay away from the locals as well." Kestiana said. "Who's turn is it to lead?" She asked Korath with a twinkle in her eyes considering the fact that if it was Caldwell leading the local guard on a marry little chase there was now way Kes would risk the captain on this planet.

"Not this time Commander. IF we have to send a team, it will be minimal, and I am going to lead it myself." Korath said knowing what she would use as an objection. "I want to at least see if we can get a clearer idea where we are sending our people into however. Ensign Brevor, any ideas as to what we can do to increase our chances of reaching the commander?"

Kestiana was going to argue, but she knew that look on Korath's face. and he was still captain she couldn't exactly order him to stay on the ship he was too much like previous captains that didn't listen to their XO's and ran away missions they just didn't get nearly as much action from it as Picard or Kirk had...

Treon was meanwhile running through various options to try and figure out what type of interference was preventing contact. Assuming their *was* interference. There could be a thousand and one reasons why somebody didn't or couldn't contact the ship from the surface, she wouldn't have jumped to the conclusion- Just then her console beeped. North of the city, there was a large mountain-range, and she could pick up enough radiation to explain why communications weren't working.

"Sir," she turned around, only then realizing that the CO and XO were both looking at her. "Uh.. there is too much radiation in the mountains.. but if you're close enough, you'll be able to boost the signal and cut through it."

"How close are we talking Ensign?" Korath asked.

Treon checked her data. "Ten kilometers."

"assuming that the commander would head for high ground, could we narrow the search to any open area that has a suitable transport location. we can beam down transport enhancers and help get a lock on the commander assuming that the interference does not block transports down. "

Korath turned to the Kestiana. "I want a set of transport enhancers down on that ridge." he said pointing to the most likely place Caldwell would go to if he was able to.

"Aye captain." Kestiana responded moving to do just that...

A Mission Post by Captain Korath & Lieutenant Commander Matt Caldwell
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Resistance hideout
Timeline: do not post yet.. waiting on one log

Officer Pimm stopped on the unsteady ground to regain her footing. She cursed herself for getting into this position to begin with. She had few choices available to her. She either turned the Alien in, and save her career, only to be stuck an officer for ever; or she could leave the capitol and be labled a traitor. Both were less than ideal. She made it to a series of caves that were rumored to be held by the rebels. After nearly two days of searching she found one cell, purely by luck.

She walked with her hands up, hoping to not appear to be a threat, nor was she armed. The last thing she needed was to be a target.
Two men moved out of concealed postitions behind some trees, guns pointed at her. "Stop righ there! who the hell are you?" one said.

"Officer Pimm. I came to speak to your leadership." She replied "I am unarmed."

"Why would we be stupid enough to trust a captiol officer?" the second man asked.

"You shouldn't, But I believe you have a strange man in your custody. He can vouch for me."

Caldwell was comfortably enjoying an indigenous beverage, perhaps some sort of tea, at the bequest of the sect leader. They talked about the capital, about his perceptions of the government, and about political philosophy, with Matt trying not to too greatly contaminate this culture. A man walked in on them in their conversation and whispered into the leader's ear. He turned to Caldwell. "Do you know a Capital Officer named Pimm?"

Matt nodded: "I do indeed. She rescued me from the facility I was being held in."

The sect's leader nodded to his subordinate. "Let her in."

Pimm stepped in. It was more like regained her balance as the guard did not get orders to escort her in gently. She rubbed her wrists as the guard cut the make shift ties off her arms. "You may not want to stay here much longer. The Capital is not pleased that our friend here went missing. They are planning a major search of these mountains." She said with both concern and an odd sense of pride for her 'former' commrads in arms.

Caldwell nodded, with a concerned look on his face: "If someone could get me to the surface, I know I have friends that can take care of me there. I just need to get to the surface, that's all." He hoped they did not read between the lines and recognize what he was talking about.

"The surface will be crawling with capital security. Unless, we could get
salture's pass then we can get ahead of the captial forces and gain the high ground. Pimm suggested.

"Alright. That seems like a good idea." Matt nodded. All he had to do was get away for her for 30 seconds.

The resistance leader must have agreed too, he nodded to several of his men and grabbed his rifle. "Come I know a way we can get there trough the caves and not have to go to the surface."

Caldwell nodded and followed her, as they left the compound. He noticed she was moving at a very rapid pace, but it was not too much for him to keep up. "How much longer?" He asked.

"Its just over that next rise. " she said. We should be about half a day ahead of the Capital officers by now. " she said. "they wouldn't dare come in here after us, its too much of a risk. they would be slaughtered."

Once they reached the top of the next mountain, Matt turned to her. "I can leave from here. Please ... go back to your people before they discover that
you're gone. I don't want you to be harmed for helping me."

"That is not possible, I will have been branded a traitor by now. I suppose i can help the resistance if they will have me. " She paused for a moment. "I don't know what you are or if you are for real. but I hope you get where you need to go." she said before turning to take up a position with the rest of the resistance farther down the ridge.

As she walked away, back down the hill, Matt closed his eyes for a moment, as if to utter a short prayer. He tapped his combadge and spoke, in a hoarse voice: "Caldwell to the Archer, do you read me?"

"Archer here, It is about time you reported in Commander. Next time you need a vacation, see that you seek one through the proper channels." The un mistakeable voice of the Captain rang through the comm.

Caldwell let out a smile at hearing the Captain's voice. "Yes, sir. But without further adieu, Commander, one to beam up."

"Standby" came the reply, and Matt looked around hesitantly.

A Mission Post by MACO Captain Marcia "Showboat" Case & Captain Korath
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Ready Room
Timeline:

Captain Korath sat in his chair, having been knocked back by a large POP from the replicator. His uniform and most of the left side of his face were covered in a thick white foam. the floor directly in front of his replicator was covered in the same sticky white substance. The resulting Roar from the Klingon could have been heard on deck 3. Korath tapped his comm badge with an irritated look on his face. "Captain Case and Lieutenant Striker please report my ready room NOW!" he bellowed into the comm

Gabe entered the captain's ready room a few minutes later, still in his workout uniform and when he came in front of the captain, he saluted smartly. "Sir, sorry about the wait, sir."

Marcia was running late the arrival of the new pilot had thrown her off her game which was bizarre for her. But either way she was late and truth be told looking a bit messy. But it was to late to do anything about that when she arrived at the ready room and where the yeoman allowed her instant access.

Ignoring the looks the two pilots were trying to hide, he stood. "It would seem that someone found it funny to program my replicator to cover my ready room in foam. I can think of only two 'Officers' brave enough to attempt such an act. 2nd Lieutenants Rodriguez and Stanson. This brings me to you two. Since you are their commanding officers."

Gabe raised an eyebrow "Stanson, sir?"

"Yes Mr. Striker. Stanson seems to be Shiva's partner of choice for Hijinx."

"Sir a ship this size why would you assume these MACOs are the ones that have done this?" Marcia asked looking definitely at the Klingon.

Korath glared at the CAG as he wiped the foam from his beard. "I assume Captain, because I know of no others on this ship that would dare try to prank a Klingon. I also realize you are new to the post of Wing Commander but I would recommend that you read up on the jackets of your pilots. There is a reason that Miss Rodriguez has not risen to the rank Lieutenant yet. As for Mr. Stanson, he simply encourages her to continue." He paused. "There is also this." he said. With a PADD with a downloaded message to 'Captain Cuddley Bear' the nick name Archer's first CAG had coined for him. The very person Shiva spent most of her time with.

"I've heard rumors of a NCO standing up against you someone from engineering. And let's be honest they've a little bit more know how when it comes to replicators than us MACOs." Marcia said giving him a devilish smirk deciding to go with the playing dumb card.

"Oh? These people are news to me." Korath replied. "That still does not explain the note referring to a name only a select few MACO's use. Unless of course you are implying that someone is trying to point the finger at your pilots?"

"Isn't that always the case?" Marcia said, "I mean hell we probably have the coolest job on the ship besides running it."

Korath narrowed his eyes at Case. "Why is it I get the impression you know more that you're letting on?" Korath asked slowly forgetting his rage against the guilty party and finding it replaced with confusion. "What about you Mr. Striker, what are your thoughts on the matter?"

Babe rubbed his chin thoughtfully for a second. "I'm thinking that this might be more of a different pilot from my squadron then the one that you are suggesting sir, Pierce would do something more like this. But I would have to say that while you might have a valid point, Captain, part of a prank is to try and say that it was a different party then the ones that actually did the deed." the half-trill pointed out honestly. "this one feels that it might be someone in ops behind the prank who is trying to make it look like it was the MACOs behind it, sir."

Korath narrowed his eyes at both of them. He had handed them both evidence that only a MACO would know to call him. and they both stood there and maintained that it was not anyone form their department. "Very well then, since I do not have solid evidence to say it was either Officer; I will let the matter go for now. I will however warn you that I will be keeping an eye on he MACO's very closely from now on. Dismissed." he said.

Marcia nodded and they both turned and walked out of the ready room. Once on the turbo lift Marcia turned to Gaberial, "get those two officers in my office now!" She said in a low voice.

A Mission Post by Lieutenant Commander Matt Caldwell
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Atraxis
Timeline:

The heat of the Atraxian sun bore down on Caldwell's brow, as he waited for word from the Archer on when he could be beamed up. It has been an hour since his conversation with Captain Korath. While he might have felt dispair at having to wait, the sound of any Starfleet voice, after this ordeal, was quite reassuring.

The engineering technician came onto the comm system and introduced himself. "Sir, this is Petty Officer Wynn. We have the transport enhancers in position, at four equidistant corners on the hilltop, but we're still getting some interference from ionization in the atmosphere. If you could attenuate the enhancers to a transmission frequency of 347.4 megaHertz, I think we can begin transport.

"Understood" Caldwell replied. He crawled over to each of the units and carefully adjusted the frequency on the subspace transceivers.

In the distance, a large explosion rocked the prison building where he had been held. Smoke bellowed from the sight, and Mark looked up to see the aeronautical craft moving immediately toward that position. He wondered what had happened ... had the resistance set some kind of bomb.

In the distance, he could hear a loud thund, following by the screech through the air of some object as it came by his position. It missed his hilltop and hit an adjacent one, exploding in a large burst of flame. The next shell landed closer, striking the side of Caldwell's hill nearest the police building.

Mark tapped his combadge; "The government appears to be trying to destroy one of the resistance hideouts. They are firing indiscriminant ..." His voice was cut off as another explosion landed even closer to him. Rocks and soil from the area pelted his skin and dust began to fill the air. "Negative. Someone has me zeroed! One to beam up, now."

"Commander, we're still trying to get a good signal ..."

"Energize, Petty Officer or you won't have anything left to beam out."

Caldwell quickly dematerialized from the hilltop, as the next shell landed next to his position. In the transporter rooms, the officers worked quickly to maintain the signal integrity.

"Auxillary power to the Heisenburg compensators ... we just need to get this pattern into the buffers."

Matt rematerialized in a transporter room, to the relieving sigh of the transporter officers present. "Good ... thought we lost you there, Commander."

He was quite bewildered now, not sure if this really was the Archer and if he really was free. "Thanks" was all he could say, as he walked out of the transporter room, with a thousand yard stare in his eyes.

CMO's Office U.S.S Archer-D

Doctor Raygard continued to sit at his desk in his office. He was reading the medical file on the Harris boy again and still he found himself at a loss as to go about treating the four-year-old Devon. Finally he tapped his computer terminal and ask the computer.

"Computer how long will it take a sub-space message to reach Corvos V?"

"Sub-space communique with the Corvos System is currently available in real time." the female voice answered the young doctor's question.

"Wonderful..." Jason stated with smile. "Connect with the hospital on Corvos V." he instructed the computer. "I would like to speak with Dr. Samantha Beaucanon."

"It will take an estimated five minutes to set up the sub-space link. Please standby." the computer said and then started to work.

As he waited he picked up on of the PADD's on his desk and looked at the last full medical work up that was preformed on Devon Harris, he didn't see anything out of the ordinary at first but then as he started to look farther he noticed that the boy had been admitted twice to hospital once for an undiagnosed stomach ailment and secondly for what his mother described as "a real scare" when the boy suddenly stopped breathing in the middle of the night and had she not been there to preform mouth to mouth resuscitation on him he would have most likely died.

The computer terminal chirpped to let him know he had an incoming sub-space communique." he tapped in his securty code and the Starfleet emblem vanished an was replaced with close up of what appeared to be a human female with blond hair that was pulled back in to a pony tail and blue eyes.

"Dr. Beaucanon I presume?" Jason favored the woman with a smile.

Doctor Beaucanon on the other hand had finished treating small case of the flu rare to be sure, but wasn't completely gone. When she sat down at her desk er Console informed her of an incoming transmission from the USS Archer, a Lieutenant Raygard CMO was the person trying to contact her. The human doctor sighed not sure if she wanted to take the call or not.

Hell she didn't know what she could possibly be able to do for him regardless. She hit the accept button with a tired smile, "This is Doctor Samantha Beaucanon, how can I help you?" She asked with a soft smile

"I am Doctor Jason Raygard, Chief Medical Officer on the U.S.S Archer-D. One of your former patients transferred on to the Archer with his mother, a Devon Harris age four years two months. I have been going over the boys Medical records and I must say I am shocked and rather appalled at his list of hospitalizations in the sixteen months that he had while living in at your colony? I was hoping you might be able to shed some light on this?"

Devon Harris, there was no way she would ever forget that child, she sighed, "Yes I remember Little Devon it's a shame that a child his age has been in sickbay more often in 10 years that that child had in 6 months." She shook her head... "Why do you ask?"

Jason leaned back in his chair and sighed. "I just find it a complete mystery that a little boy his age could be that sick all the time, especially in this day and age." He should his head. "Can I ask what to expect of his mother? I am sure that you have dealt with her too when you saw Devon? When I had him in Sickbay for a full work up and she was asking me questions and demanding to know every little thing I was doing to her son. The other strange think that bothered me is that I am half-Betaziod and somehow Gail Harris was blocking my empathic senses, every time I tried to "lock on to her" I drew a complete blank."

"Yes well..." She started not sure what to say she'd had the feeling that Gail had been hiding something from her but what she did not know. "When Devon started to come to my office it was the same day that he and his mother first arrived. First it was little things but Mrs. Harris was always hovering always around and Devon only seems sick when she's around. It's not something I noticed right away but she will be underfoot the entire time that you will be looking after Devon." She said with a slight frown.

Leaning forward again in his chair he gave the woman a half smile. "I thank you for your time in this matter Doctor. I might call to consult with you again if needed. Have a good afternoon." With that Jason closed the comm-link. He was no closer to solving this then he was before he called Beaucanon. Shaking his head he got up and stepped over to the replicator and ordered his usual Andorian Spice Tea and then sat back down to continue reading...

Nurse Baker moved to join the Chief, "I take it from your expression that the call wasn't very helpful?" She asked softly...

The doctor shook his head and looked at his Head Nurse. "So far absolutley nothing that I haven't already figured out for myself." He leaned back to stretch. "I am ready to call it a night here." he stood up and then moved towards the door of his office. "I am going to head for my quarters. I will be back tomorrow morning." he grinned. "Take the night off Amanda, you've more then earned it."

End Log.

~*~ Start Joint Log ~*~

Gabe simply waited for the new pilot next to the door to Showboat's office with his hands in his flight suit's pockets as he hummed a little bit of an old Earth song that his uncle used to play for him when he was a kid that stuck with him over the following years.

Grabbing her duffle bag out of the back of her cockpit she tossed it over her shoulder and made her way over to Crashdown. Running her hand through her wild chocolate hair as she made her way, Phoebe smiled glad that she had finally made it to the Archer.

Gabe pushed off of the wall while humming the last little bit of the song before looking at the younger pilot, "So, you're all ready then?" he asked.

"Yep so lead on fearless leader!" She pointed towards the door and smiled up at him...She wasn't that much younger than he...

"Yesh..Fearless leader, who do you think I am, my uncle?" Gabe muttered jokingly at the other pilot as he started to walk. "So did the captain say who's stuck with you in their squadron then?"

"Not yet, All I know is you are my squad commander, I think the details will be worked out after my tour ends at the Captain's office, though I came ahead of schedule which is another reason why I arrived ahead of my transfer papers." Phoebe admitted. "If I had waited for the ships return my papers would have gotten here first but I managed to get clearance to leave earlier than scheduled which is why I arrived with a padd explaining why my paper's hadn't arrived yet..." She smiled.

Gabe gave a dry chuckle as he shook his head, "While I appreciate the respect for wanting to report for duty and what not, you still kind of jumped into the middle of a unique shitstorm to put it simply...but you do get points for style." he admitted.

She grinned, "Yay! I'll take the points for style then. Sorry I had a perfectly good flier she's seen me through worse than the shit storm here. and I'm not very good at waiting for things to come my way and waiting for the archer to return to get me was longer than I wanted to wait." She said softly.

"I know the feeling, I was training kids at the top gun school for the past couple of years until the itch to get back aboard a tender ship got too much for me to handle and I requested this posting." Gabe explained as they walked as he knew full well what the younger pilot was feeling. "but you do got to admit that you jumped the gun. I take it you haven't heard that we've got a crew member arrested by the locals dirtside now right?"

"Actually I do. I've read up on everything that happened in what reports we had on hand the second my reassignment papers arrived on my desk. has there been any plan on how to get Commander Caldwell off the surface?" She asked....

"Plans, plural but unfortuantly I haven't heard much about them but I'm just waiting because they'll need exprienced combat pilots at the helm and yes, I know that the squiddies have their own pilots but that is besides the point-they're not our kind of pilot yes?" he explained.

"Nope not our kind of pilot." She grinned.

Gabe nodded and lead her through to the locker room. "I stopped in here so that you can stow your kit bag and change out of your flight suit if you want?" he offered up as he gestured towards an empty locker.

She hadn't even thought of that. she was so surprised that she hat her kit bag on her that she stowed it into the empty locker and turned to smile at Gabe. "Ok Ready." She grinned.

Gabe chuckled a little bit at that, "Very well Whirlwind. So tell me a little bit about yourself, what made you want to be a pilot?"

~*~ MACO's Office ~*~

Nope Whirlwind didn't get lost trying to find her way back to the Flight deck after her tour of the ship returning to the MACO Captain Marcia "Showboat" Case' office as requested of her before the tour had been started. Her things were locked in one of the lockers so she could get it after her meeting with the MACO.

Marcia was getting tired it was getting to end of her shift but really she didn't have shifts she was on duty 24/7 she was truly surprised that CAGs even had quarters all they really needed was a cot or a comfortable couch in their office and they would be happy. Standing up she walked over to the replicator and got yet another Raktajino.

"You wanted to see me after my tour?" She asked after entering Captain Case's office flopping down into one of the chairs acrossed from the MACO...

"Ah Ms Whirlwind....." Marcia said using her call sign as her last name it had a nice ring to it. "How was your tour I hope that Crashdown provided a decent tour of the our humble facilities."

"Yes Ma'am." Phoebe said standing at attention until her MACO told her other wise. "He introduced me to all the important locations."

"Great!" She said excitedly it meant that she would be taking orders from Gabe. Okay well that wasn't so great yet not until she saw how he ran his squadron but she hoped they'd be friends even if she was taking orders from him.

"Good I'm glad that's great......I need you to familiar yourself with the Hammerhead class the normal variant the heavy assault. You'll be the hard hitters in a sense." Marcia said looking at her.

"Got it. Does that mean I have to give up my flyer?" She asked though...

"I'm afraid so......your Reaper class as nice as it is it won't well with out mix." Marcia said thinking of a completely different role for it. "But you can lead any dedicated recon mission with it and the flight Valk IIs that we've got in storage."

"Are there extra Hammerheads on board or do I need to have one commissioned for me?" She asked...

"Yes and no. We already had enough to fill the three squadrons. So we'll just commission one to you." Marica said making a note to get that done. "Right now we're just running drills while we figure out what's next."

"Right." She said with a nod. Not wanting to rush Marica with anything else she might have wanted to add...

"Alright I think you're set to join the wing." Marcia said giving her a nod.

A Mission Post by 2nd Lieutenant Cara Rodriguez
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: CAG's Office
Timeline:

[Begin Log]

Marcia was back in her office waiting for the two pilots who pulled off the prank and her deputy CAG to arrive. She wasn't mad that the prank was done or the fact that she was called in and had to lie to the Captains face. But she was mad that she wasn't given heads up and went in blind.

Second Lieutenant Gaberial "Crashdown" Striker lead Second Lieutenant Kent "Gryphon" Pierce into Showboat's office and then stood leaning against the door as Gryphon came to attention in front of the tattoo'd CAG. "2nd Lieutenant Pierce reporting as dragged, ma'am. Might I ask what I'm here for?" he asked as he was still dressed in his flight suit having just come off of CAP duty.

Cara "Shiva" Rodriguez was the last to walk into the now crowded office. An unlight cigar hanging from her mouth. She stood in her flight suit hanging from her waste and a tank top that she wore her comm badge.

"Rodriguez take that cigar out of your mouth." Marcia snapped she was gonna angry for as long she could do it. "And second lieutenant watch your tone and both of you sit."

Gaberial raised an eyebrow at Showboat's comment but kept quiet as Gryphon simply nodded.

Shiva scowled somewhat and took the cigar out and tucked it into a large pocket in her flight suit.

"So which one of you did it or better yet which one of you came up with it and convinced the other one to join?" Marcia said watching them. "Come on now! Speak up!" She said still acting angry.

Gryphon squared his shoulders back, "I admit it, I rigged the system." he admitted.

"My idea." Shiva said. "You've gotta admit it was funny."

Marcia couldn't keep it up any more putting on her smirk, "yeah it was pretty good but next time come to me I would love to pull a good prank." She said knowing that she should also discipline her pilots. "As good as the prank was you need to remember that there is a time and place for them. Luckily the timing was perfect."

"I thought you would like it. It was a sort of spurt of the moment thing." the latina said with a smile as she leaned against the far wall.

Marcia just grinned, "alright next time keep me in the loop. Oh and you may want to steer clear of the Captain for a little while. Alright dismissed.....oh actually Cara stay behind for a bit."

Gryphon looked utterly confused as he left Showboat's office but Crash stayed in case he was needed.

Cara stopped and turned. "Whats up boss?" she asked looking innocent. "You want me to get the XO next?" she said with a wink.

"Crash you can leave and thank you." Marcia said giving him a smile. Once she saw Crash leave she walked over to the couch and took a seat, "join me."

Cara smiled and walked over to the couch, not really sure what this was all about. She sat on the couch and rested her left leg on her knee. "Is this the part where we have some well deserved girl talk?" she asked with a slight grin, showing she was joking.

"Yeah....but to tell you the truth I'm not all that good at girl talk grew up with three bothers and mainly male friends through my adolescence." Marcia said with a grin on her face.

"I know that feeling, I have a brother too. He was never the easiest to socialize with." Cara replied with a wink.

"Will my brothers were all older than me and were very protective and to be fair I'm glad they were the streets of Paradise City weren't kind." Marcia said, "I mean we had a mugging, murder or kidnapping almost every other week."

"Sounds like you had an interesting childhood. I remember just having to scrape and steal just to get enough bread to keep my brother and myself eating for a week. Shady was par for the course in New Tyco City." She said. clearly enjoying having someone that understood not living the Olympian life that most Federation Citizens had.

"I guess how backgrounds make us great for fighter pilots we're willing to take risks that other people might not be willing to do." Marcia said as she scooted a little closer to Cara.

"That and a healthy bit of crazy." She smiled leaning back and a little closer to Marcia as they talked. trying to not make her grin too noticeable.

Marcia was feeling that connection that she felt the first time they had met but didn't act on it, "so...." she started a little slowly, "what's the craziest but most fun thing you ever did prior to joining StarFleet?"

Cara smiled, and relaxed satisfied that this was a social call not a chewing out waiting to happen. She crossed her left leg over her knee and leaned in and bit her lip. "Hmmm, that would probably have been tackling a Fleety captain conducting an urban response exercise. Mind you I didn't know it was an exercise. Thats how I got my recruitment speech." She smiled even going a bit red.

Marcia just laughed, "I would've loved to have seen that." Shaking her head allowing her hair to flow all over the place, "so what happened after you tackled him?"

"I had half a security squad on my six with phasers drawn, the captain in a half nelson and a micky in my hand. " She smiled. "After spending the weekend in the brig, I was offered charges or to fly. I'll let you guess what I chose." She winked.

"Will seeing as you're here giving me grief you chose flying." Marcia said putting a hand on her arm and slowly moving it up and down as she grinned at Cara, "and I guess it also proves that StarFleet will allow anyone in."

Cara laughed at that, and put a hand on Marcia's. "I'm sure they regret that choice every time my name comes up in some security report." She smiled and looked the other pilot directly in the eye. "I however wouldn't change it for the world." she said squeezing Marcia's hand slightly.

Marcia just smiled and than all of a sudden leaned in, "my quarters tonight for dinner!" She whispered very close to Cara's ear knowing how sensitive the ear is after whispering she pulled away and stood up smiling, "looking forwarded to having you over."

Cara bit her lower lip and smiled. "Wouldn't miss it for all the Latinum on Ferenginar." She replied

Kestiana made her way down to science hoping to get an update on what she'd asked the chief about a while back that she hadn't heard anything on. She figured enough time has gone by that there should be an answer on if there was a way to repair the tears to subspace that had been caused by the warp tests of a pre-warp civilization like the Ataxians that have been making warp tests...

Z'ho was sitting in his office, staring at his console, wondering whether there was any idea he was missing. He didn't feel like going to the XO and informing her there was no solution. At the least, he hoped that he could offer

One of his assistant popped his head in. "XO's here."

Gulp.

Hurriedly the Chief Science gathered the padds strewn at his desk and headed to meet his superior officer. "Commander, how can I help you?"

Kestiana arched one elegant brow. "Is there something wrong Chief?" Kes asked noting that the Chief seemed a little nervous. "How's the work coming on preventing further damage to the subspace tears?" She asked...

"I'm still.. " Z'Ho sighed and shook his head. "I'm not sure there is a solution, Commander."

"To preventing or repairing the damage? there is no way to repair a subspace tear that takes time. I'm trying to prevent further damage or warp capability will be lost in this section of space any idea on how long it takes to cross this expanse at impulse." She asked calmly.

The Chief Science was indeed ill at ease. "Hm, both are difficult, though we were focusing on repair, as per your orders sir."

Well if repairing the subspace tears isn't possible what about ways to prevent it from getting worse other than just warning passing ships since the Ataxian people will eventually start doing warp tests again." The XO asked knowing that the chief for some reason was ill at ease. was she asking the impossible?

Z'Ho took a minute to think it through. "The easiest solution, I would think, is to make contact with the Ataxians, once they do."

Kestiana frowned. "then we're left with only the warming probe on the damage to subspace to hopefully prevent further damage since we have no clue when the Ataxian's will make another attempt at their warp tests." She said putting her hand to her forehead for a moment. "Thank you for looking into it atleast." She said with a sigh. "I'll let you get back to work then." She said...

The CSCI smiled uncomfortably as the XO turned to leave. Commander Piper was right - he didn't have the nerve to tell the XO it was all a big waste of time.

Ens. Jack London made his way up to the bridge with a report in hand. The targeting sensors were a little off and that really wouldn't, do not if they were to find themselves in a fight. Making his way up to the bridge to find Ens. Dallas Wyvern to give said report to, so that he could work on correcting the tactical sensors so that he didn't have any trouble with the weapons targeting system.

Dallas turned his head when he heard the doors of the turbolift swish open. He'd recently been posted to the midnight shift, Gamma. It helped that with the sensors aim being off, this was the shift during which he could correct them.

Jack made his way over to the Chief and held out the padd. "I have the calculations on how off the targeting sensors are," he said as he joined Ensign Wyvern.

"Thanks," Dallas said, taking the PADD.

"No prob," Jack said, rolling his eyes, wondering why he'd bothered. He was sure that if he'd been a leggy female, he'd probably have gotten more than just a 'thanks.' But he was the only one with nothing to do at the time.. He turned to leave without another word.

A Mission Post by Lieutenant Commander Matt Caldwell & Captain Korath & Lieutenant Acel'a & Lieutenant Sara Lenera & MACO Captain Marcia "Showboat" Case
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: SB 22
Timeline:

=/= SB 22, JAG Chamber =/=

The flag of the United Federation of Planets draped magestically on the flagpole, right next to the solid oak bench behind which the presiding judge was to sit. The judge was flanked by a court reporter on the right, who maintained the audio, video, and textual recording of all proceedings, as well as a clerk to his left, that assisted the judge. The baliff stood outside of the bench and watched as the court gradually filled with lawyers, witnesses, and spectators.

Lieutenant Commander Tim Sikes walked into the court room and made a respectful motion toward the bench by briefly comming to attention before taking a seat on the left of the court room and set out an array of PADDs on the desk.

Lt Acel'a arrived and quietly took a seat in the area designated for witnesses and others.

Commander Cole Buccheri entered the court room along with a brief case containing all the court material, evidence and other reports that he needed for this case. It seemed and sounded like and open and shut case which he was hoping for.

Sara walked in and looked for lt Acel'a and went over to sit with her, and theothers on the witness side.

Seeing that everyone had arrived and the time was coming near, per his chronometer, the baliff, Master Senior Chief Petty Officer Hodgkins, bellowed the room to attention with his loud, crisp, and authoritative voice. "All rise!"

Both sides quickly came to their feet as the judge, Vice Admiral Nathan Acheson walked into the courtroom. Wearing a black robe, his Starfleet uniform and rank insignia were visible on his collar, but he was otherwise covered in his traditional, judicial sheath.

"Be seated" The judge commanded and everyone in the courtroom quickly found their seats. He himself sat at the large chair in the center of the bench. "Mister Hodgkins, please read the charges."

Hodgkins stood and, using a PADD, read the charges from his position adjacent to the Federation flag. "By order of Starfleet Command, Lieutenant Junior Grade Eugene Cromley is hereby charged with the following breaches of the Starfleet Code of Military Justice:

- Burglary, 5 counts
- Grand Larceny, 5 counts
- Conspiracy to commit burglary
- Unlawful use of a Communications Device, 2 counts
- Conduct Unbecoming a Starfleet Officer
- Assault and Battery on a Security Officer
- Resisting Arrest
- Eluding Arrest

The judge nodded as the final charges were read. He turned to the defense attorney and the accused: "How does the defense plead?"

Sikes stood and prodded his client to stand as well. "On behalf of my client I am Authorized to plead not guilty Your honor."

Acel'a simply shook her head, knowing otherwise, as she was the lead officer in the investigation leading to the man's apprehension and subsequent charges being filed. She supposed that he would plead not guilty, as per protocols, so she was prepared to give her testimony, providing the evidence, gathered by her forensics team.

Cole than waited for the judge to allow for open statements. He knew his needed to be better but he also felt that the evidence would speak for itself and their expert witnesses were excellent.

Sara looked at the judge, wondering what information he had, as she sat closely and quietly.

Acel'a quietly looked around, observing the others, then the judge, to see reactions to his next words, regarding evidence and related matters. Things like this were both an opportunity to present evidence and learn more about Starfleet Justice, as a whole.

Sikes sat down and waited patiently for the prosecution to start their case. He kept a PADD ready to take notes while the proceedings went on.

Acheson turned to Commander Buccheri and nodded: "Counselor, you may proceed with your opening statements."

Sara contiued to watch as the counselor was going to proceed with her opening statements ,she watched carefully, lucky she had a padd in her
her hand taking notes of this whole court case.

Lieutenant Acel'a also took notes, so she would not lose track, plus she could reference this, for future cases, should they pop up. Acel'a believed in documenting everything, something she learned as a Chicago cop.

A Mission Post by MACO Captain Marcia "Showboat" Case & 2nd Lieutenant Cara Rodriguez
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Quarters
Timeline:

=*= Quarters, USS Archer =*=

Being the acting CAG had it's perks it pulled her out of the barracks
and gave her a reasonably sized yet spartan quarters. Yet she didn't
spend a whole lot of time their mainly sleeping in her office to
taking an empty bunk in the barracks. But tonight she was making
dinner for herself and Cara which she hardly ever did this but there
was something between them which was worth exploring.

Cara showed up to Marcia's quarters in a little black dress and
carying a very expensive bottle bottle of chataeu Picard in a fine
purple velvet sleeve. she quickly made sure she was presentable and
pressed the door chime and waited.

Marcia was wearing a short silky dress one that allowed everyone to
see every single curve on the body. And for the wearer it felt like
you weren't wearing anything. Putting the final touches on the table
Marcia quickly glided over to the door, "wow! You look incredible."

Cara smiled and spun around with a coy smile. "Do I? I just threw it
on." She teased. "You however look very stunning.. que Rico Miami."

"Thanks wasn't going for that look....but I'll take it she grinned and
what do you have there?" Marcia asked.

Cara smiled and cocked her head coyly. "Maybe you're just naturally
stunning then." she said pulling the wine out
of the sleeve. "I thought I might help the night go by a little
easier. seeing as this is a private dinner, I tried to go
a tad more refined." she winked.

"Oooh.....will I'm new to this whole refined ideology." She said
laughing stepping back so she could walk in. "If you don't mind go
ahead and make yourself comfortable and there's some wine glasses in the sitting area I just need to check on dinner."

"Believe me so am I." She smiled as she walked into the room and looked around.

Definitely nicer than the barraks. she smiled as she sat down on a
sofa and poured two glasses of wine. "You know, spoil me too much
tonight, I may not want to go back to my rack." she giggled and took a small sip of her glass.

"I don't think that'll be a bad thing." Marcia said shouting from the
kitchen before re-appearing her skirt again showing off her lovely
curves. "I'm glad that you showed up I was a little bit nervous that
you weren't going to."

Cara smiled. "Not a bad thing huh? well I will have to remind you of that later after we finish the bottle." She said her eyes watching her skirt sway as Marcia walked back into the room. "Why wouldn't I come? I never turn down a gracious offer like this."

"I don't know.....most people are nervous around their COs, XOs and
DHs but than again your not like most people if you find it a
challenge to infuriate your COs, XOs and DHs or at least cause a minor curiousness for them to learn more about you." Marcia said taking the glass of wine and sitting much closer to Cara than she did in her
office.

"That is true, I'm not like most people. I've never backed down at a
challenge and rarely blindly follow authority, so no one has ever
accused me of being shy." she said taking her glass and clinging it
against her hosts, scooting closer. She rested one arm behind Marcia on the back of the sofa.

Reaching up Marcia gently used her fingers to push a lock of hair out of her face, "you've a very beautiful and sexy face." Marcia said
blushing slightly when she said that.

Cara leaned her head toward the touch out of instinct. It wasn't
common at all to get the privacy to feel like a woman in a box full of
other MACO's. Things get made worse when those brave or crazy enough to ask her out were bone headed pilots with no sense of what she liked. "Thank you. And at the risk of sounding cliche, being the second to say so, you're a beautiful woman yourself." the comment made her blush a little as well, not out of nervousness, more so out of the fact she didn't get much cause to feel femanine in her line of work.

"Welcome." Marcia said in a much quitter and intimate voice. She than pulled back a little so she could a sip of her wine. "Mmmm good wine to go with good company."

That made Cara laugh. "That my dear will get you everywhere." she said referring to the flattery.

"Good...I'm hoping for that tonight." She said giggling never feeling a spark like she did with her. "Shall we head to the table for dinner...the way I see it the sooner we get dinner done the more fun we can have."

"Good to know." She said with a wink and a smile. "Dinner would be great now, and yes I can think of a couple things I would like for desert." she said leading Marcia to the table with one hand.

She enjoyed having her hand being held again t had been awhile. "I hope you like Zabu stew it's a camel like creature on Cardassia I just love the stuff!" Marcia said grinning.

"I've never had it, But if it is home cooked, im sure that It will be lovely." she said.

"Well it's not exactly homemade but it'll still be delicious and I that wine you brought will go along nicely with it." Marcia said with a smile as she started serving up the stew.

Cara winked. "I wasn't just talking about the stew." She smiled and took the plate as it was handed to her. "But I'll behave through dinner I promise." she bit her lip.

"Why....I enjoy the misbehavior and some dirtiness to my dinner parties." Marcia said grinning as she took her seat, "and I did catch your drift!"

With that comment, Cara smiled and stood, sashed over to Marcia, sat on her lap. She dipped her index finger in a bit of stew that rested on the serving spoon, slowly licked it off her finger then kissed Marcia. "How was that for misbehaving?" she winked.

Marcia was shocked by the quickness of Cara and the fact that she sat on her lap and did something slightly kinky with the stew. "Mmmm.....I like it but I would've liked it more if you allowed me to taste it off of your finger."

She smiled and ran her finger along the spoon one more time, and teased Marcia with the finger just out of reach. "That will cost you another kiss." she winked.

"I think that's acceptable." She said leaning forwarded and started to kiss Cara's neck slowly moving up to her lips. "Mmmm.....you taste wonderful."

"So do you, now for your reward." she said dripping the stew over her collar bone.

"Never knew we could have so much fun with stew." Marcia said grinning waiting for what was gonna happen next.

"Tell you the truth, stew really isn't on my mind right now." She said with a giggle.

"The bedroom?" Marcia asked looking at her with a glint in her eyes.

"If we make it that far." she said matching the look in Marcia's eyes.

"I feel like that is a challenge." She said chuckling as she went back to kissing her neck.

"Either way you get a prize." Cara kissed her back, and hopped off her lap pulling Marcia toward the bedroom.

Marcia arrived too work early and shamefully sneaking out of her own quarters after the evening of some of the best love making ever. And it wasn't like being with a women was a new thing but she never did this with a subordinate and the next step was the tricky one.

"Hey.....wow I don't think I've ever seen you smile. Well okay only one you do something insane or......you.....you got laid last night!" Church said grinning ear to ear.

"Wha....what....no I didn't!" Marcia said turning a very bright shade of red.

"Yes you did." Church said grinning, "but that's a good thing it's been awhile since I've seen you smile like that."

"Thanks speaking of smiling I've been noticing you've been in a reasonably good mood. Please don't tell me your drinking again?" Marcia said one of few people that knew about his past.

"God no.....just been spending some time with Tyler that engineering student I told you about the one interested in dealing with fighter end of engineering." Church said taking a seat in one of the chairs.

"That 17 year old prodigy?" Marcia asked giving him a skeptical look.

"Yeah and before you say anything you know me." Church said. Marcia nodded she did know how Church was he might've known the limits when it came to drinking but he sure did know the limits for other things.

"Crap....I need to head down and meet McGree he ran into yet another snafu in upgrading the birds. Once we get back Starbase 22 I'm gonna request we get AC-304 Phantoms." Marcia said shaking her head.

"That might be a good idea the 402's are a little outdated." Church said shrugging his shoulders, "but I would go to the CO first you know how you're and going over people."

"Yeah your right. Lunch later?" Marcia asked knowing at some point she would need to speak with Cara but she needed to get other stuff done first.

"Yeah....just send me a message for when." Church said standing and giving her one last smile before he left.

Mission: Prime Directive

=*= Flight Deck, USS Archer =*=

Marcia was absently leaning against a wall on the flight deck taking several drags on her fumarella. Thinking about last night yes it did bring a smile to her face but she wasn't exactly sure how to or what to do now. She felt like she was in limbo she still hadn't seen or spoken to Cara and she was sure was furious that she had snuck out.

Cara had to search hi and low in order to find out where the CAG was hiding. To say she wasn't a bit put out by the sudden departure of Marcia would have been a lie. She stepped up and leaned against the same wall just behind a bulkhead column. "Fancy meeting you here. You know you are a hard woman to find when you want to be." she said teasing her CO.

Marcia didn't jumped she learned a long time ago that was the worse thing to do when not expecting something. "One of my many skills." Was all Marcia said again as she took another drag of her fumarella.

"I was beginning to think I wasn't as good as you said when you didn't come back." Cara said rounding the bulkhead. "Having second thoughts?"

In a sense she was but she didn't want them, "I've never been good with the next morning that's why I snuck out. Hell I'm not that great with relationships in general."

"Im not good at making people like me, so in a way we are even." Cara said with a smirk. "We are talking now, we get along pretty good I'd say. I think we are off to a good start. And from what I'm told the entire barracks are talking about the good mood the CAG is in. Is it so bad to feel happy?" she asked pulling out a cigar and lighting it.

"Maybe...." Marcia said looking at Cara taking a couple more drags off of her fumarella. "Last night was fun....care to do it again this time maybe in my office I've got some work I need to do."

"Maybe hmm?" Cara winked. "Last night was fun. I am yours anywhere you want me." she said sliding a hand to the small of Marcia's back.

Stamping out her fumarella she tossed the butt behind some crates. "Follow me." She whispered leading her to a small supply closet where they would have some more privacy.

The small latina girl followed Marcia with a wicked grin. "I like how you think." she said. She wasn't sure exactly what Marcia had in mind, but given the closet or spending the afternoon watching "Skydive" and "Hot dog" try and hustle some poor grease monkey, she would take the closet any day.

"Nothing fancy just wanted to taste your lips again." She said closing the door and pushing her up against it and giving her a deep kiss but very sensual kiss.

The rack of spare and re-purposed parts shook as her six bumped up against it her arms wrapping around Marcia and returning the kiss. This was the first time in her life she felt needed and she was not about to let that go. "That's not all you can feel from now on if you're willing."

"Good....but we do need to be careful." She said smiling enjoying the sneaking around, "we don't want you getting the reputation of sleeping with the boss to get the promotions." She said teasing.

Cara smiled. Somehow she doubted she would have that problem. "I doubt that would be the first thing people would think of me. I'm sure most think that I am too busy sticking my yoke up my six to let my hair down. And well I doubt I have to worry about Lt. any time soon. " She smirked knowing her pension for chaos would keep her a 2nd Lieutenant for the foreseeable future.

Marcia just grinned as she moved down to her neck. ~God her skin is so soft!~ She thought as the idea got her even more exited, "shit I better stop now I gotta meet a new pilot."

Cara rolled her head to the side and moaned slightly. This was going to be a hard thing to keep under wraps, she thought to herself. She took another kiss not wanting to let her go. "That does not mean we can't pick this up as soon as your done." she teased giving a teasing smile.

"That is true. My office two hours." She said quickly straightening out her hair and uniform before returning the last kiss an heading out of the closet.

Cara made her finest salute she had ever made after kissing Marcia. "Yes Ma'am"

A Mission Post by MACO Captain Marcia "Showboat" Case & 2nd Lieutenant Elric Skaarsgarrd Jr.
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Captain Case's office
Timeline:

It had been quite a boring shuttle ride over, he'd personally had a distrust of transporters, something about having his atoms ripped apart and reassembled correctly on the outside had always unnerved him a little. Once it docked he grabbed his two duffel bags, the rest of his belongings should be taken to his room by someone else, but there were a few things that he couldn't trust any other to handle. He had his family's ancestral sword, one he had forged himself for training, a Tajtiq that Kanarra had given him and a d'k tahg knife he'd been awarded while serving abroad with the Klingons.

Walking down the corridors towards where the CAG's office was, he had to meet his new boss, hopefully there wouldn't be as many questions about the vague few years in his dossier. He hated having to shrug and tell them it was classified. Running hand through his short as he stood outside the office for a moment. Pressing the call button so he could get invited in and get this meeting on board.

Marcia was busy looking over her roster trying to figure out how to fill some of the holes. But decided to blame it on the rumors of the defense budget being cut once again. "Enter!" She called out.

Entering into the office, Elric would drop his bags on the inside of the door and snap a salute. "Second Lieutenant Skaarsgarrd Reporting in for duty Ma'am."

"At ease Lieutenant and please take a seat. Can I get you anything to drink?" Marcia asked setting a PaDD down and returning the salute.

"Thank you Ma'am," Taking a seat "Bloodwine, Mead or Scotch if you have them,"

"Lieutenant you do realize you're technically on duty, right?" Marcia said eyeing the officer before her.

"Apologies Captain, water would be preferential then," Musing to himself 'great a by the book boss' he thought. "Didn't mean to cause any offense towards you."

"It's okay Lieutenant I run a tight ship and which means you're essentially on call to protect this ship and crew. Which doesn't mean you can't drink or have fun but it does mean you need to be responsible about it. Is that clear?" Marcia asked looking at her newest pilot.

"Always am Ma'am, spent two years with the Klingons, learned real quick to stay sober while drinking," He remembered those years fondly, brawling, drinking and constantly after bandits.

"Good!" Marcia giving him a smile, "oh Lieutenant I'm not one of those CAGs with a yoke up my ass I know how to have fun." She added giving him a playful wink.

Giving a short sigh of relief "That is good to know, speaking of things to know is there anything about me you want to know?" Not the vague parts of my dossier he added quietly in his head.

She smiled, "you mentioned the Kilngons was it one of our officer exchange programs you did to get that assignment?" She asked not knowing a lot of officers who volunteered to serve with the Klingons.

Nodding "I volunteered for the one year program and enjoyed the ship I was on and requested a second tour of duty with them."

"Good to hear than you should get along with the Archers commanding officer." Marcia said giving him a grin.

Arching an eyebrow quizzically "Why would say that? I rarely get along with Ship Captains."

"Well seeing as you got along so well with your Klingon colleagues and our dear Captain is a full Klingon." Marcia said looking at him.

Blinking and facepalming "I need to start reading the briefings on the ships i'm serving..."

Marcia just laughed, "so I'm assuming you don't know which squadron you're serving in?"

"Phoenix Squadron, specialty in Escort and Space Superiority missions if I remember correctly."

"Correct but we're having a change in fighters. Instead of the Hammerhead we'll be moving to the much more agile and versatile Phantom fighter." Marcia said sliding a PaDD over to him, "here's the specs."

Nodding as he reviewed over them "Much nicer than the Hammerhead, looks much more nimble than the To'duj I flew on the Vor'nak, looks like it punches a little more of a punch too."

"Yes it does what I want you to do is meet up with 2Lt Gabriel "Crashdown" Striker your squadron commander." Marcia said, "he'll go over some basic rules for his squadron."

Nodding "Sounds good, any unofficial rules or additional things you wish to know why you've got me here?"

"Nope not at the moment." Marcia said wanting to get the meeting done, "you'll find them out as time goes by. Sorry about rushing you but I've got back to back to meetings today." Marcia said.

Standing and saluting "Thank you ma'am." Before grabbing his bags and heading out.

Marcia returned the salute and watched him to walk out. She had about fifteen minutes before Cara was gonna show up again she decided to be a little bit sexy for her. Unzipping her flight suit down far enough for her bra to be showing she headed over to the couch and got comfortable.

A Mission Post by Lieutenant Commander Matt Caldwell & Lieutenant Jason Raygard M.D.
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Sickbay
Timeline:

=/= Sickbay, Main Ward =/=

Matt Caldwell walked into Sickbay, having been escorted by Commander Sahal. He registered with the duty nurse, to request to see a doctor for permission to return to duty. She took his request and had him sit at the Sickbay entrance, while she went to inform the attending physician of the new patient.

Jason looked up from the PADD he was reading at his desk when Amanda Baker got his attention through the window of his office. From her slight hand gestures he was able to deduce that there was a patient waiting to see him. Getting from his chair he slipped on his blue lab coat and grabbed his tricorder from where it was resting the corner of his desk and walked out in to the Main Ward of Sickbay, where his nurse pointed him to the waiting Commander Caldwell.

Approaching the man he allowed a smile to pull at his lips. "Commander good to see you again." he motioned with his hand for the other man to follow him to one of the bio-beds."Have a seat Matt." he patted the bed and watched as Caldwell perched on the side of it. "What I can I do for you?"

"I need to see a doctor about a return-to-duty checkup." Matt replied.

The doctor opened his tricorder and detached the hand held scanner and started with the usual "T" movement over Matt's chest and then did the same once he moved so he was standing behind the other man. "I am not reading anything unusual here. Was there anything I should be aware of?

Matt sighed, wondering if it was in his head: "I'm feeling rather dizzy, and lightheaded."

The doctor nodded. "Actually your due for your annual physical as it is Commander. Seeing as your already here I might as well take the necessary scans and then your free to go." Jason waited until Matt made himself comfortable and then moved to take a detail scan of the man's head and neck area. "Have you had any headaches since you suffered your concussion?"

"No" Matt shook his head: "None that I can recall."

Next Raygard took the required blood sample from Matt's neck with a hypo-spray and was not surprised when his patient winched slightly. "Sorry I know that smarts a bit." he did his best to be quick about getting the sample and then put it aside. "Normally I have one of my nurses do that. They seem to have the golden touch when it comes to taking samples."

Matt tried to resist the urge to groan, from the sting, but his parasympathetic nervous system registered a slight jerk in response to the pain.

"Now about this dizziness you are suffering form? " the doctor asked as he leaned back against the vacant bio-bed beside the one that Caldwell was on.

"I came here because I was feeling lightheaded and rather dizzy. I was injected with some kind of sedative on the surface, and now I'm wondering if the effects are going to be long term."

The CMO nodded his head. "Well from the scans that I took with my tricorder I couldn't see any sign of the drug in your system however if your still feeling lightheaded it could be due to an adverse reaction. I will know more once the lab has finished the blood work." The doctor moved to help the other man sit back up so he could let his legs hang over the side of the bed. The doctor bit his lip as he concentrated trying to think of anything more to ask the Commander. "Has your sleep pattern been effected at all any nightmares that might be causing undue stress?"

Matt shrugged: "I didn't sleep much on the surface, maybe 2 or 3 hours a night." He yawned, as he thought about sleep.

Raygard listened as his patient spoke. "I will admit I am a touch concerned that you where injected with something on the surface. However it doesn't seem to be effecting you too badly." The doctor moved off for a moment and then came back holding a small device in his hand. "This ia cortical scanner." He explained. "I'd like you to wear it for the next 24 hours so the computer can monitor your vital signs and alert me to anything out of the ordinary. It is attached just behind your ear on the right side. I know its a bit of a pain in the ass but it will allow me to keep an eye on you while you go about your duties on the ship. Then you can come back here tomorrow afternoon and we can discuss the findings in my office."

Mark nodded and turned his head to allow the doctor to put the device in the proper place.

Raygard attached the device and then tapped the tiny control button on it to turn it on. "The device is silent so you will not feel or hear anything. It is also waterproof so if you prefer to take water showers that is fine too." The doctor watched as the Commander stood up and nodded. "Your free to go for now, but if your symptoms worsen I want you back in Sickbay post-haste."

Matt nodded one final time; "Thank you, doctor." He quietly made his way of Sickbay and headed toward his quarters.

~*~ Security Chief's Office ~*~

Kestiana made her way down to Security to see how Caldwell was doing. She was technically off the clock right now but that was ok she wasn't going there as his XO, but as, well as a friend... She wanted to see how he was doing, make sure there were no lasting effects of being on the surface like with Doctor Raygard when he was returned from the MU Archer and the hard time he had readjusting to the Ship and her crew whom were the complete opposite as the moon was to the sun.

She had known when things had gotten back to normal for Jason, and yet he wasn't completely back to normal... However, unlike Caldwell whom only had his work Jason had Carly to go home to. Kes stopped outside the Chiefs office and hit the chime, but didn't wait for a response before entering the office. "Hey stranger glad your back." The XO said with a soft smile...

Caldwell returned her smile and sat back in the chair, with a comforting stretch and a long held-in yawn. "It's good to be back. The Archer is superior to their prison facilities in so many ways."

"Give them time and they might very well catch up, How are you feeling?" She asked with a soft smile moving to sit on one of the chairs in the room...

"Sore ... and still kinda wousy to be honest. Some of the female guards used some kind of sedative on me and I'm still feeling the affects. I should probably go see Doctor Raygard about it. You should have seen their society, though. They lost so much and ended up giving everything to the government. Their government made decisions that I don't know if Starfleet would ever make."

"Starfleet probably wouldn't, come on you can tell me all about, well what you remember, it while we walk to sickbay. It's good to have you back on board safely...

"Thank you, Commander. It is good to be back. Has anything changed in the last few days?" He asked.

"Not much to report on, other then Ensign Stannis having to report for clean up duty with the CEO I'm not sure if you were told about that yet." She said with a frown still not at all happy with that officer...

Caldwell nodded, as they approached the Sickbay entrance. "I had a chance to read Commander Piper's report when I came to my desk. I had a feeling accepting Ensign Stannis into the department was going to be a move I'd regret. I'm sorry to see that I was right."

"As am I, I have read his file and from what I can tell when he's not talking he's actually a decent officer, it's a pity we couldn't hep him see that there's more to him then sarcasm." She said honestly.

"Well, maybe there is hope. I will talk to him and I'll see if I can't straighten him out a little bit. Maybe some extra physical training on the holodeck would be an effective use of his excessive 'energy'. Wouldn't you say?"

"If you need any help with it I'm sure Commander Piper would enjoy helping you work off Stannis' excessive 'energy' as well." She smiled. "Well It's good to have you back aboard safely Commander."

"Thank you, ma'am" With that, Caldwell entered Sickbay.

A Mission Post by Lieutenant Commander Matt Caldwell & Lieutenant Sara Lenera
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Brig, USS Archer
Timeline:

A lone figure walks back and forth in the Archer's main brig cell. It has been two days since his climatic capture and the weight of his impending sentence was now resting upon his shoulders. He looked and waited, wondering if the brig guard was going to change over to someone he recognized.

Ensign Kyle Stannis looked at the brig controls and looked up at the prisoner. Glancing back and forth, he spoke softly. "It's alright, my friend. Your freedom is close at hand."

The ship's chronometer changed to 06:00:00, and it was time for a new security officer to take his station. Stannis patiently waited.

Sara walked into the brig looking at stannis,"im here to relieve you."she said , i need to talk to this man anyways"
she said to him.

"Took you long enough!" Stannis mocked her. "You know, 06:00:20 is not the same as 06:00:00."
"Im sorry, im late, i was writting a report for commander caldwell, "she said to him, as she sees the prisoner
standing there.

"Right" Stannis replied. "Well, I have to go haul shit for our Chief Engineer. Good luck, Lieutenant. Try not to let this prisoner escape."

Sara nodded,"good luck hauling things to engineering."she said to him with a slight smile on her face. She turned
to the prisoner, "well my friend its just you and me." she said with a devilish smile on her face."you can tell me
why you only picked me to rob of my gold,i worked hard for that gold press latium, and you just picked my quarters,"she said to him."Why me, whats it about me , that you picked my quarters to rob, i dont even know
you, and you dont know me."she said with a frown on her face and her arms crossed too, while looking at him.

The prisoner frowned, and feigned contrition as he seemed to sigh: "I know, I know. I didn't choose your quarters because of anything about you. I was searching quarters at random and I just happened to find your latinum. I didn't realize just how hard you worked to earn that latinum." He glanced up to quickly evaluate her facial expressions: "I'm such a bad, bad man."

Sara looked at him, and chuckled,"you said it ,not me...you are right you are a very bad man." she said to him shaking her head. "so you were lurking around other quarters....as you say"she said to him walking back and forth, still looking at him, with her arms crossed, and walks sup to him.
"Then why you pick mine just because of my gold or what?" she said angerly to him. "I think you picked my quarters out of spite on your part,."
Sara also said to him."Oh look.. the perfect quarters with the gold inside. "I bet thats what you said to your self didnt you....and dont lie,
I'm half betazoid, i know when your lying..and i know your scared to be in here i can feel that." she also said.

"No" He shook his head: "I didn't know about the latinum until after I rematerialized in your quarters. I did not choose your quarters out of malice or forethought or anything. The opportunity presented itself to acquire more things and I took you. You see, the person I work for will kill me if I don't keep supplying him!"

"Who do you work for?"she said angrly, "cause checking quarters for gold is illegal, thats trasspassing with out having security clearence ,or any
security codes."she also said. "your in a mess of trouble mister....., and i'll see that you pay for what you done.. unless you tell me who you work
for. "she said to him face to face between the security force field.

A slight grin appeared on his face as he replied. "Of course, I will tell you. But I will want certain things in exchange. You see, information is itself a commodity, much like your latinum. If I'm to provide you with information, I will require favors in return. For one, I want a plea bargain where I serve time at the rehabilitation colony on Risa."

Sara said"id have to talk to my security chief, about all that," Sara said to him sternly "but first, you give me the information, bout who you dealing with, thats all i need." Sara said as she had another security officer, come in with a padd for her, and they left. SAra took the padd, and sat in the chair, and looked at the prisoner."ok start flapping your wings and tell me who your dealing with,"i want answers now, mister!!!" she said to him.

The man shook his head and covered his face with the palm of his hand: "Obviously I made things too complicated. I understand many Starfleet security officers aren't exactly moving at full impulse. I won't tell you anything until I have a deal with your security chief. Understand? I'm not going to give any leverage I have just so you can make Lieutenant Commander faster."

SAra looked at him fine , i'll being down my security chief and you can talk to him,"she said to him with with a stern look on her face. {{hes gonna be
one tough cookie to get along with }}she thought as she looked at him." +taps+ commander caldwell,we have a problem in the cell, our prisoner
isnt tqalking and he would like to talk to you."she said on the comms. "ASlright i called my LtCmdr Caldwell, we shall see if you start flapping your
tounge or not, "Sara Said. "I bet, i can get you to talk without feeding you, if someone comes with food im not letting them give it to you."she said
to him.

"Well, let's just wait for your Caldwell to arrive and then we'll talk." The man grinned.

"Well to be honest you inspired me to be a pilot and not for what you did in the war, not that there's anything wrong with war at the time I was completely against ever going to war, but more by the way you flew. the first time behind the controls I was hooked. I have a younger brother he's still in high school, but He wanted to fly too until he found out he had a slight fear of heights. I took him up once after I got my pilot's license for a standard earth craft then went into the academy for the Marine flight corp." She grinned as they walked..

Gabe smiled lightly at that, "My uncle Jacob and my cousin Kris were both pilots but my father thought I'd follow him into ops..boy was he wrong huh?" Gabe said honestly as they walked. "The bug does tend to bite us hardest of all."

"For those of us with the heart to fly it bites harder than it does others I think." She agreed glad that she had been able to meet her 'hero' of sorts.

Gabe let a chuckle escape him, "I'm glad however that it wasn't my flying during the war that inspired you. Yes keeping your wits around you during those kinds of flights is an art but I'm never proud of what I do in war. Make sense?"

"Yes, the sad fact is war is unavoidable sometimes. you may not want to be part of it, and you might resist it, but it's not always avoidable doesn't mean we always do things we're proud of in war."

Crash nodded slowly, "I miss my first years as a pilot but then again I'm the old fart, eh?"

"You? Old? I wouldn't believe it. Your not much older than I am." She said with a wink.

Again Crash had to chuckle at that, "Thanks but I know how old I am and plus combat makes you feel older." he shrugged as he motioned at one of the turbolifts and waited for her to get onto it first.

"Combat only makes you feel older if you let it Crash, Age is but a number. it's up to you how old or young you wish to feel." She grinned as she made her way into the lift and leaned back against the wall of the lift...

The hybrid smirked as he stepped into the lift as well. "Valid point, I know most pilots including my half brother who could learn a thing or two on that."

"I'm not a bad tutor." She smiled. "Learning to have fun again isn't all that hard. just gotta loosen up." she grinned...

"Oh I can loosen up alright but I got already for CAP when you showed so I'm still in alert phase." he said with a shake of his head.

"Well then we're going to have to help you loosen up again. After this tour I've got a bottle of Andorian ale that would hit the spot don't you think?" She smiled.

Gabe raised an eyebrow, "That would depend on how full the bottle is for one." he said simply with a shrug.

She laughed. "never opened I've had it for 5 years, haven't found a need to open it yet." She said honestly...

Crash smiled and nodded, "Well it's a thought then, Wind." he said with a slight grin as the turbolift stopped on the deck that housed the MACO's quarters.

She was a lot calmer then when she first land in the docking bay she still had to check in with the MACO again but she was enjoying herself with Gabe at the moment. "How many Maco's house here?" She asked wondering if there were separate quarters or all one dorm...

"Officers get their own quarters while enlisted and junior officers
share." he said simply as they passed a couple of doors. "Why, hoping you'd share a bunk with Gryph or Showboat?" he teased her.

She only smiled up at him with a mischief tinkle in her eyes. "hmmm so am I a Junior officer?" She was never really sure about how the ranks work. she was 2nd Lt but a squad leader in Crashes' own team of pilots.

"What are you planning in that head of yours?" he asked as he caught the glint in her eye. "As for your question it's junior like cpo and the like but if you wanna think of yourself like that."

"Nope I prefer the privacy of my own quarters." She grinned. "Mmm I'm planning in this pretty little head of mine of ravishing you in my quarters end enjoying it most thoroughly." She grinned in a teasing way to show she was well half joking...

A Mission Post by Commander Kestiana Sahal & Captain Korath & Lieutenant Jason Raygard M.D.
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Transporter Room 3 and Corridor
Timeline:

=/= Transporter Room 3 and Corridor Deck 7 =/=

Jason Raygard paced back and forth in Transporter room, he was nervous as Hell. Not so much because his mother was about to beam aboard the Archer from the transport vessel the U.S.S. Hood, it was the fact that she was not travelling alone. He'd only gotten a warning the day before when he'd come home to a sub-space message from his mother alerting him to the fact that the Daughter of the Fifth House had insisted on being her travelling companion, Jason was not really surprised considering Lawaxana Troi and his mother Denotra had been friends since childhood and had grown up playing together, even so he just knew that Mrs. Troi was going to be as overbearing as ever and not for the first time he shuttered.

He was currently dressed in his dress uniform due to the Mrs. Troi being a full Federation Ambassador; he pulled at his collar with his finger and then looked at Commander Sahal and rolled his eyes. "I should warn you both Captain and Commander, my mother's friend can be a little on the eccentric side, well maybe not a little."

"I was an ambassador's aid at one point Jason; I know just how bad Mrs. Tori can be. I've read all about her attempts to charm Captain Picard into her bed so I'm as prepared for the Ambassador as you are." Kestiana said honestly also in full dress uniform. she never ever thought that Ambassador Tori would step foot on her ship...

Jason looked at Carly and shook his head. She was currently dressed in a light blue dress that came down to just above her ankles, while her arms where bare the neck line of the dress was rather severe but it still showed off her body. "It's almost 0935 hours. If my mother was travelling alone she'd would have been on time, they are now 5 minutes late." Just as he said that the transporter chief cleared her throat. "Doctor, the Hood is hailing us, the boarding party is ready to transport."

Raygard nodded his head and took a deep breath in and let it out. "Okay Chief, bring them on over." Jason turned to watch the transporter as his mother and Mrs. Troi started to appear on the pad. A third figure just behind them, he was not surprised to see Mr. Holmm Troi valet take shape.

Kestiana took a step forward eying Jason as he had given the order for the chief to join them.

"Mrs. Tori, Mrs. Raygard, Welcome aboard the USS Archer, I am Commander Kestiana Sahal, Executive Officer. I trust that your flight here was safe." Kestiana said in way of greeting. Denotra smiled at her son before turning to great the First officer of the Archer. "Thank you for having us aboard." She said shaking the officer's hand before going to greet her son and daughter in law.

Jason grinned as he greeted his mother telepathically. ~Hello Mother. ~ He cleared his throat and was about greet Mrs. Troi verbally be she held up her hand before he could, as she looked about the room. "Well, this ship is not as impressive as the Enterprise or the Titan, but it will do." She stepped down from the pad and shook the Commander's hand first. "Sahal... It's good to see that a Betazoid is second in command, so few of our species seems to go in to the Command Track, they all end up in the Sciences or Medical field it seems. It's very refreshing to see."

"I couldn't very well decline the Klingon who requested my being his First officer could I?" She smiled up at the Ambassador...

It was only then that the Ambassador took in the tall Klingon figure that was standing slightly to the side. "Ah.. Captain Korath.." she said a light tone of voice she could see the slight look of annoyance come to the man's face. "No I was not reading your thoughts it's just common sense that you'd be here to greet a Federation Ambassador of my rank."

Korath barely resisted the urge to growl. No doubt anyone would feel the tension in the Klingon even without being a telepath. "No doubt." He said slowly. "I trust your trip was uneventful?"

Lawaxana shrugged her shoulders. "I was hoping that we could have gained transport on the Titan, my daughter and son-in-law's ship but alas they where not in range so we had to settle for the Hood, a pleasant enough ship but it is nice to finally be on the Archer where we can relax and unwind. It's just a shame that this wedding couldn't be held on Betazed. It's the beginning of the summer season and the parklands are in full bloom. It amazes me that the vast majority of Betazoids that serve in Starfleet have choosen to forego the traditions of our people for the sake of conveniance."

Jason swallowed hard and then looked at his mother his eyes pleading. ~Mother... Please, make her stop!~ He felt the heat of embarrassment flushing his cheeks.

Denotra grinned and arched an eyebrow as she kissed her son's cheek. ~Come Lawaxana, we wouldn't want to stress the couple out more then they already are with a Betazoid wedding to plan, shall we get started?~ Denotra asked her friend with a smile...

Lawaxana nodded her head. She looked at Jason for a moment and was about to ask him to carry her baggage to the VIP quarters but thought better of it. Instead he turned to her valet. "Mr. Holmm if you will please." She gestured to the large travel container.

Jason took a moment to look at the Captain and Commander. "Captain... Commander... I will escort my mother and our esteemed guest to the VIP cabin." he watched in horror as Lawaxana stepped out into the corridor and started down the hallway her valet walking behind her, effortlessly carrying her baggage. Looking at his mother he smiled. "We have guest quarters assigned for you on Deck 12 on the starboard side of the ship so you're only a few meters away from Carly and I's cabin."

"By all means doctor, Ambassador should you need anything feel free to ask." He said as was expected. He did however instantly regretted the statement.

"Thanks you ever so much Captain." the Ambassador said. "You can be sure that I will take you up on that offer if the need arises." She looked over her shoulder with a sickenly sweet smile. "You may go."

Kestiana gave a nod secretly hiding that she was glad it wasn't her. Jason's mother smiled at him happily. "I am proud of you my dears, lead on I look forward to seeing more of the ship." She said softly...

Jason put his arm around Carly's waist as they walked down the corridor towards the turbo-lift. He was amazed that Mrs. Troi was still keeping up a steady prattle of telepathic chatter as she walked down a few steps ahead of Carly, Jason and Denotra. Jason had to clear his throat to get the Ambassador's attention and then stepped around her to press the call button for the lift. It was only then that he looked at Lawaxana and said out loud and in a clear tone. "Mrs. Troi, we are among non-telepaths, namely my wife, it's not polite to use telepathy." while it was true that both he and Denotra had been able to hear everything Troi had said up to now in their minds Carly had been blissfully unaware of it all.

Lawaxana turned to look at Carly and arched an eyebrow. "I would have thought that your telepathic link with your husband would have been fully formed by now. You have been slack in your diligence. My daughter and her husband formed their link within weeks of meeting each other on Betazed years ago."

While it was true that with their bond as each other's Imazdi's Carly should have heard everything that Jason did it he knew that it could take years for a non-telepath to be that skilled. In Carly's defense Jason stated. "My wife and I share a strong bond between us, and can talk telepathically with each other; however we also choose to speak out loud for the most part as she is Human."

Come now Lawaxana I'm not so sure that I quite agree with your critical thoughts when it comes to my son and his wife." Denotra said honestly knowing that Lawaxana did value their friendship and thought she didn't always mention when she didn't agree with her friend, but she did mention it at times.

Carly smiled at her mother-in-law then at Lawaxana, "I think however you are right Ambassador, when we are alone my husband will strive to help strengthen our bond isn't that right my Imazdi?" She asked softly not wishing to cause a fight...

Lt. Commander Williams eased into a lounge chair in his quarters and set a mug of hot green tea on the table next to the chair. He picked up a PADD and started scanning the contents. It wasn't too often lately that he had the chance to keep up with his JAG work load. He had taken to working on it on his down time from security. Most of it was updates on the Goings on within the fleet. As a certified JAG Officer, he was required to keep caught up on the fleet proceeding should he be needed. One file caught his attention in perticular as it was addressed to him directly.

Hayden read the report. If he was looking for more work to put on his plate, he had just found it.He got up from the chair and set the PADD down. He walked into the bed room and pulled on his uniform jacket, making sure it was straight. "Computer open a comm channel to StarFleet JAG, Admiral Valarig's Office." Hayden called out.

[Connection established] the computer replied several moments later.

Richter set a cup of something or another down and smiled lightly, "Commander, what can I do for you? I can assume its probably not a personal call."

"No sir" Hayden said. "I have a file here provided to me from the sector JAG officer that there may be a engineers mate aboard Vindicator that joined the fleet under false retenses?" he asked. "However I see no conveining authority listed."

"I don't think I have that case yet, or I haven't had a chance to get to it. Since you're contacting me about it I will pull it up. However if there is no authority listed so far, then it falls to my office and I will assign the officers to investigate it."

Hayden pulled up the file. "It appears to have been an issue that came up through several commanding Officers to date. However I believe the report may have been filed in error. the authority seems to have been left out rather than investigate who actually reported the charges. The Engineers mate in question is currently serving aboard Vindicator. I have already confirmed that sir."

"I see." There was a pause and as he looked something up, "Well, I have one officer I can assign to the defense, everyone else is currently on assignment. As I do not have anything to do, I think I'll take the opportunity to stretch my legs. I'll get transport out to you immediately to look into it."

"Of course sir." Hayden replied. "I am of course free to prosecute I am sure I can re arrange my other duties. I will have security pick up the Petty Officer and hold him until a full investigation can be concluded."

"I had actually thought about prosecuting myself this time. There is time to figure out whom will do what, however. If I do decide, then perhaps you would like to sit second chair?"

Hayden nodded. "Understood sir. I will await your arrival, I may have to let the Captain know that you are coming aboard as well. As for the second chair offer, I believe I can handle that. I will let you get back to your work Admiral. Vindicator out."

Hayden turned off the terminal and tapped his comm badge. "Ensign Nassmir, I would like you to Pick up Pettiy Officer Josh Adams and escort him to the brig, when you are done join me in my office." he said. After the acknowledgement, he tapped his comm again. Lt. Lenara,  please report to the security office.

A Mission Post by Commander Kestiana Sahal & Captain Korath
Mission: Prime Directive
Location: HolodeckGym setting
Timeline:

Karina missed having Ba'el around she knew that Korath missed his daughter as well. Nikki was still around so that did take some of the sting out of not having their Ba'el around She sighed continuing with her slow moving stances keeping her breath calm and even. this was a technique that not all Klingon's used. Worf had though it was a form of meditation or so it felt to Karina. not unlike what the vulcans did only without the movements that Karina was use.

With her arm held out before her palm up Karina turned her body til she stood on one leg the other stretched out behind her toes pointing down back straight but bent at the waist with her hand palm up in front of her still her other hand coming up out to the side... She held perfect balance looking much like a wingless angel.

Korath had come back to his quarters to find a note to meet her in the Holodeck. As he entered through the large double doors he took in the gym environment that she had created. He, still being in uniform; walked up to his mate. "You know the ship does have its own fully furnished REAL gym?" He asked in a sort of klingon sarcasm.

She shrugged, "Did you know that your sarcasm doesn't always make me glad to see you." She growled calmly working on another pose slowly as she turned to face her mate wondering what had gotten under his skin today. "Join me? or did you wanna tell me what has annoyed you so soon after Ba'el's departure...?" She asked calmly

"Consider it one of the privileges of command." He said with a very slight grin. "As for what has annoyed me, That would be Ensign Stannis. I believe you would know him. " The Klingon growled.

"Ah yes the one cell organism trying to pass as a human. He's a walking insult doesn't matter if your his superior or of lower rank than he nor does he care if his words actually hurt anyone... I'm surprised his tongue hasn't reach you before now." She turned to face her love as she did another meditation pose. "Come this will help calm that anger. or I could think of another way." She smiled at him invitingly.

"The Ensign may find himself returning to starbase 22 waist deep in waste if he does not learn to stop trying my patience!" Korath replied. Begrudgingly joining her on the mat.

She smiled softly moving into another calming pose glad that he was joining her. "I would have loved to have seen his face at the waste he had to clean." She laughed slightly knowing it wasn't funny though. "It would serve him right to be sent back but it's probably what he wants.."

"Not in the way i plan to send him back. If he gets sent back it will me in irons with confinement time."

"No probably not the way he intends but the way he deserves." She smirked Turning to her mate as she noted that the poses weren't helping him. "You know if this exercise isn't working I can think of something else." She growled giving him that look. She moved to punch him.

He caught the punch and pulled forward as he shifted his stance, using her momentum to flip her on her back.

She growled as he flipped her and flipped back onto her feet in a crouch trying to turn sweeping her leg at his to attempt to knock him flat on his back in retaliation though she had every intention of pinning him if she succeed in her attempt.

He stepped back and shook his head. "You will have to try harder than that if you want to take me down.` he taunted.

She growled slowly getting to her feet. "What is it about me that makes you taunt me all the time. I was nice and calm." She snarled She wasn't about to just rush in on Korath she circled him instead with a smirk. She moved into a right punch knowing he'd block her then she did a left expecting him to grab one of her fists and if he did she moved to flip him over her shoulder before he could do the flipping again.

"It gets you in the proper mood." He said with a grin enjoying the fact she was easily goaded into combat. That trait she got from her Klingon heritage. It was also the only proper way for a klingon to share an intimate moment.

Karina growled then slowly grinned realizing he did this on purpose. She knew she didn't have him pinned under her just that she was at present on top and he might just be able to turn the tables on her easier than she could keep him under her.

He could see she knew he was playing with her. He could also almost see that she was focusing on keeping him on the mat, he toyed with her, clawing at her shoulder as he gauged her reaction.

She barely flinched at the pain it caused in her shoulder she reached down and bit him on the cheek before ripping the zipper on his uniform jacket. "You are over dressed Captain." She growled.

"Have you been promoted to Admiral while I was locked away on the bridge?" he growled at her comment. "A far better sight than the admirals I know."

"Nope." She growled. "I just think your over dressed, and god yes a far better sight then any pasty admiral." She growled moving to bite him on the chest of one muscular peck...

Korath rolled her to the floor and held her down, her arms over her head so she could not use them for leverage. "And why the sudden need to spar?" he asked not really needing to know, but he was sure she had a reason in mind. She did not usually go to such lengths to arrange a meeting simply to 'play'

"My intention had only been to stretch and exercise without 'playing' you started and aroused my need as well." She growled licking her lips...

"I believe we can do something about that." Korath growled. "However, it may be easier to continue this in a more private setting."

Karina growled even as she smiled, "Computer end program and site to site transport Captain's quarters." She said without thinking they left the yellow and black grid of the holodeck in a blue haze as Karina kissed the warrior she loved...

Mission: Prime Directive
Location: Holodeck 2

~*~ Holodeck 2 ~*~

His meeting with his Squad Leader and Wing Commander went a little better than he expected. He'd gotten his gear stowed and he didn't officially start until the next day...so he figured he'd get in some practice and exercise while he had the chance in the holodeck. Carrying his bag with his swords in them, he was wearing loose fitting pants, boots and a light shirt, to keep his movements free and unrestricted. Pressing the enter button and stepping into the holodeck, hearing the computer mention something about a program already running.

yeah there was a sparking program going, Phoebe's wild hair was tied back in a french braid with strands of hair slipping from it to wildly frame her face. the holodeck program she was sparing with grabbed her from behind her elbow struck him in the solar plex then flipped him over her shoulder. She was wearing black work out shorts that were skin tight and a black sports bra. her hands were wrapped like a boxer in training only she wasn't wearing the gloves. She didn't even noticed that there was another body in the room until she moved into a spin kick having sensed what she thought was another hologram appearing...

Eying the nice figure it front of him before he noted the kicking flying towards his face. Blinking as he snapped his hand up to catch her ankle. "Usually it takes a few more days before women are trying to kick me in the head," Flashing a cocky smirk.

Phoebe blinked then blushed as she realized he wasn't a hologram. "Oh dear." She said not trying to pull her foot back yet not sure if he'd let go or not. "I'm sorry. I thought you were a new hologram appearing to take over where the last one failed." She said trailing off as she noticed said hologram appearing behind the handsome cocky smile whom she could only guess was a fly boy. "Computer pause program." she said quickly before the hologram could attack Mr. Cocky.

Letting go of her ankle and turning his head behind him after she had to computer stop the program. "Thanks, Lt Skaarsgarrd, new transfer and you would be?"

"Warrant Officer Thompson." She smiled putting her foot back on the ground after he let go. "Also a new recruit. What brings you to the holodeck?" she asked assuming he's checked in already...

Dropping his duffel bag on the ground and pulling out his longsword "Practice, haven't had a good work out in about a week,"

"Oh my can I play with your sword?" She asked with a smile knowing how that sound, but she didn't know the first thing about swordsmanship.

Winking at her and taking a few steps into the room "Anytime you want,"

"Well I'm free now." She said still smiling. "computer remove AI and display a variety of long swords for use." She said the computer beeping but several swords appeared on one wall she motioned him over and moved to look at them. "I'm know next to nothing about sword play care to teach me?" She smirked...

Musing she did seem to be flirting a bit, but wouldn't do to give her bad advice either. "I was captain of the team for two years back at the Academy, the main thing is finding one that feels good in your hand, your sword is an extension of your arm and should feel natural,"

"Hmmm." She said reaching for one and testing it's balance and its weight to make sure she could even lift it for longer then a few minutes. it was a double bladed long sword, thin and narrow. "So do we jump in with playing with your sword or are you going to teach me the finer points of fencing?"

"Had we the facilities you'd start with a stick and chopping wood for a couple years before you even touched a real one," Standing behind her and tapping her her feet further apart and moving his arms over hers and shifting her into a basic guard, blade directly in front of her at a 45 degree angle.

She felt her breath catch for a moment when she felt him standing behind her and tapping her feet further apart before helping her with her stance. She smirked not that easy or quick really he'd have to get her really drunk for that and that wasn't likely to happen on this ship. "So your going to speed things up a bit then huh?" She asked letting her voice taking on a breathless sound. "I am a quick study." She added...

Chuckling a little and shaking his head "I was raised to believe that your sword is soul, thousands of cultures human and alien all believe that, I forged my sword myself when I was sixteen, the summer before I left for the academy, the ancient samurai of japan handed their swords down grandfather to grandson, it was kept with the utmost respect and condition as it held the souls and energy of those who held it before you, Vikings forged their swords themselves on occasion in order to know their weapon fully, any fault in it would be a fault of their own making, the Klingons revere their weapons, their dagger is held with a religious fervor, to steal a Klingon Warriors weapon is the gravest of insults,"

"You should also know that Sword play is entirely about killing, it's not like hand to hand, there is no belief in restraint, swordplay is about killing another person, you sure you want to learn?"

He hadn't moved away from her with his speech, "I would feel safe in the knowledge that if I had to kill someone I could rather than just disable them." She said honestly no longer flirting really not that she didn't know he was there it was hard not to know he was there, but she enjoyed her carefree life too much she flirted with who she wanted be dammed the consequences...

"It's easy to disable someone with a blade, as the old Roman Emperor Julius Caesar said, it only takes two inches of steel in the right place to stop a man,"

She actually shivered at the thought she's never killed anyone before. "Ok maybe Playing with steel swords isn't my thing." She admitted with a smirk over her shoulder at him...

Smrking back "Could always work on your hand to hand then?"

She smirked still looking at him over her shoulder. "Think you could handle me?" She smiled knowing he was risking his sword play for her...

"I spent two years on a Klingon Battleship and came up still looking pretty I think i can take one fly girl " Winking and putting his sword back in his bag. "We can do a co-op sim as well too,"

"True." She grinned and waited for him to put his sword away and get ready for their hand to hand. She licked her lips as she watched him. 'Wow so many men to flirt with on this ship.' She thought with a smirk...

Popping his neck and shifting into a standard Savate form. Facing her sideways back leg straight down and front leg bent slightly to let him snap kick or lunge forward, hands brought up in a classic boxing pose.

She's never seen that stance before and she wasn't going to underestimate him. She got into a standard stance of her own watching him closely not about to make the first move. she wasn't watching just his face, but his body language too...

Lunging forward as he let out a loud battle cry at the top of his lungs "HAKKE PAALE!"

Her eyes widened as he lunged for her, she dodged to the side kicking him in the arse just to play with him a little bit there was no way she'd beat him and nor did she want to besides she was wondering how he'd respond to pinning her to the ground...

Taking the hit to his muscular and tight ass, he crouched down and swung his leg out to sweep her legs out from under her.

She let out a startled sound as her feet went out from under her and cursed she should have seen that coming and she hadn't. She started to flip back up to her feet...

Springing to his few and trying to pin her down, arm gently over her throat, knee resting on her hip joint and one hand raised up to start punching "Yield"

She kinda had no choice, it was either that or probably get bruised badly. "Yield. that was cheating knocking me off my feet." She smirked laying under him as he held her pinned she wasn't going to risk him forgetting they were sparring and using that fist that was poised to punch...

Shrugging a little "Fight dirty, fight cheap, win, the only unfair fight is the one you lose, Rule 11," He said "Your enemies will never fight fair,"

"Rule 11 huh? what other rules are there?" She asked without even attempting to get up just yet...

"Rule 37, there is only 'open fire' and 'reload' no such thing as over kill"

She smirked agreeing with that rule. "any more rules obviously you have one through 37 but you've only mentioned 11 and 37." She smirked...

"Those will come later but Rule 19, Decide to be Aggressive ENOUGH QUICKLY Enough,"

She had him distracted so she attempted to push him off of her and roll on top of him to pin him instead...

Continuing to roll once she got on top and trying to roll back ontop of her. "Rule 12 Have a plan, "

She couldn't help but laugh as they rolled until she was on the bottom again and scowled up at him. "Is that why you mentioned 12 because you planned to keep me pinned?" She smirked...

"Until you figure out what rule 13 is," shifting his knees into her elbows to keep them pinned down.

She tried to pull her Elbows away so she could push him off her again smiling playfully at the thought of rolling around in the 'dirt' so to speak...

Leaning down more of his weight onto her elbows "Make me put much more weight on you'll need to see a doc,"

"You know Rough housing is all fun and games until someone needs to see the doctor." She growled not so sure she was finding this fun anymore. He wasn't quiet yet hurting her more then what would be considered a bruise... and Phoebe didn't much like being bruised.

Climbing up off of her and rubbing his knees he hated that move, but it worked well usually. "Like the combat instructors kept yelling at the academy train like you fight, fight like you train, apologies for any offense,"

"This isn't the academy flyboy this is the holodeck and I really don't like being bruised." She flipped up to her feet more strands of wild chocolate brown hair had slipped from her french braide. She stretched her arms to make sure he did no damage the smiled up at him and moved unexpectedly into a round house kick catching him in the stomach. "Next time don't bruise me."

Feeling the air get knocked out of him as he stumbled backwards a little, rubbing his stomach "I see..Again sorry,"

"Apology accepted, Now how about some lunch?" She grinned, "I don't know about you but I'm starving."

Rubbing his stomach again "I could eat if you don't kick me again," Chuckling a little bit. "That stings like hell,"

"Don't worry as long as you don't bruise me again with your knees I wont kick you again now come on Probie let's go eat." She grinned teasing the newbie even though he was of higher rank then she...

Shaking his head a little "I thought you were a probie too,"

"Nope you became the probie by getting here after I did so you kinda saved me from being a probie." She grinned teasingly.

Face palming "My eternal shame,"

LT Sara Lenera's Personal Log - relaxing in her quarters

The following is a personal log from LT Sara Lenera.

Sara was in her quarters , after a tiresome day of security, she wasnt sure if she was out of being banned in quarters after duty or what.
Sara wrote a letter in her padd, to the security chief to ask him how much longer is she in her quarters. She was getting sick and tired,
of staying in her quarters, she'd rather be out and about, talking to the other starfleet officers, she hasnt talked to anyone, since she was
punished to her quarters she hoped, she will be out by now.

Sara decided to write a letter home to her family on betazed, since they moved back from earth, her father was betazoid, and missed home alot.
he decided to bring her earth mother to live on betazed, which she agreed apon, so she sent a message home to betazed, to let her family know
she was ok,and everything was fine with her, and she also told them she was suspended in her quarters after duty, over the idea and Ensign thought she stunk, when she told her family she showers everyday, it could of been a betazoid plant she had in her room that made it stink but betazoid plants dont stink, she was quite upset she told her family and it caused her a rank reduction over it. she knew her family would be dis-
appointed in her for it.

Sara shook her head as she continued her letter to her parents, she also told them that security is alright that not much has been happening , just to robbery of her gold in her quarters was the main thing that happened. That she was upset the robber picked her quarters, to rob. She lost alot of gold
press latium. She sighed to herself as she continued her letter to her parents.
