Welcome to the ArtiFakes Group! We are an online discussion group set up to discuss traditional Native American craftwork issues with particular regard to replica and reproduction art and artifacts. Our membership includes artists and craftworkers, Native American art dealers, collectors, museum conservators and curators, archaeologists, lecturers, authors, and many other people with an interest in Native American art, lending a broad spectrum of knowledge to this subject area.
All members are encouraged to write with any comments, opinions, questions, and suggestions relating to this issue; or to post related pictures and files (no more than 100K each) for members' interest and discussion.
Members are expressly requested to make no disparaging mention of specific companies, dealers or other individuals. Views expressed by individual members are not necessarily those held by the ArtiFakes Group as a whole. The ArtiFakes Group is not a forum for the discussion of political or religious issues, except as they directly relate to artifakes and reproductions. Disrespect for other people's cultural background, religion, or sexuality will not be tolerated. Additionally, any form of verbal abuse or profanity is considered unacceptable. Members who do not observe these common courtesies will be removed and banned. Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to hearing from you!
NB. When applying to join this group, kindly give your FULL NAME and LOCATION.
