Hello all! I'm a newbie I guess. I just wanted to post a message I
had just put in the british rock and indie group I'm also in. These
guys are just so great!!
Anyway, here's the message:
I saw Elbow and Doves at the Vic in Chicago on 6/13. Elbow was
absolutely amazing (I saw them a couple of months ago too- they're so
great live). Doves were pretty good as well although I must admit I
only have one of their albums. My friends that I took that didn't
know either one thought Elbow out-performed Doves but I'll leave that
discussion to someone else. Anyway, halfway through their set, Elbow
announced that they'd be live at Tower records the next day so I had
to go. The guys played a lovely acoustic set (although I only caught
the last 20 minutes- my silly job got in the way of me being there on
time!!) Anyway, the guys were very gracious signing autographs and I
got them to sign my copy of the Newborn single. Mark Potter- you're
such a cutie! Anyway, all in all, it was a great couple of days! Go
see them if you can and enjoy the festival season while you're at it!!
