Just realised that I never introduced myself to everybody.
I am 37, male, never been formally diagnosised though am fairly sure
of it. My wife is a teacher and through her training recognises mnay
aspects of my behaviour as being on the spectrum.
Whilst aceoting this I only became fully aware of the implications
after reading Simon Baron-Cohen's book called the Essential
Difference. Sat the tests at the end of the book and as so often
seems to happen in my life passed the tests with ease! Found it very
spooky to have my life summed in the book in a couple of paragraphs.
Was relieved to find a reason for the misery that was my childhood
and personal life before I met my wife.
