Dubya gets around that commandment by saying it only applies to "innocent
life". That's how he justifies opposing abortion, but supporting the death
penalty.
FYI, a number of Republican Xians say that the commandment is "thou shalt
not murder", not "thou shalt not kill", so being in the army is not a
problem.
