Welcome from me too. I am not sure about meetings in your area. Leicester
(Secular Society) has a group and ther are Humanists and Brights in Edinburgh
and London. I agree with you that it is valuable to meet up with like minded
individuals for mutual support and exchange of information. The NSS has links to
more sources of support.

Well the reason I want to meet up with others is it's about time

atheists had a voice in the way things are run- how are we ever to

change things if we don't get together and do it? we have sat on our

rumps too long and ignored all the religious parephenalia assaulting

our eyes and minds - the longer we ignore it the more powerful they

become. I sound like I'm ranting now- maybe I am but meeting up

doesn't make anything in danger of becoming a religion- fine if you

don't want to meet anybody but some of us do
