Greetings ,
I have always made my atheism clear to the faithful, not to have a full
blown discussion, as at the time the faithful will never concede to
reason. However I do feel that months or years to come the person (
faithful) may have an event happen in their lives or just start thinking
rationally, and the coments I made to these people may help them
question their religious beliefs. That is exactly how I realised there
could not be a god. I was never that religeous & certainly was not a
church goer, basically brought up as a christian, & I did think there
may be something in it. Over time, with a few events, discussions and
some reading, I realised in in my own time that it was all bollocks.
So in effect had atheists not discussed their lack of belief to me, I
may well ('god forbid' ( haha )) still have those beliefs and certainly
would not have been curious or interested enough to question myself .
