The first problem was finding a venue. The cost at White Rock Hotel is £10 per
hour and I think that's cheapest you will find. Our first meetings were booked
for two hours and our first meeting had ten members which at £2 per head just
covered the cost. We've now cut it back to one hour. The alternative is to meet
in a quiet pub if you can find one.
The second problem is getting publicity for the meetings. Press releases and
letters to the press worked for us, though nothing was published in advance
about our latest meeting. We have to send the Press release out a week before
the paper appears, and there is no guarantee it will get published, or that
editor won't mangle it.
