New Route 401 North Melbourne – University of Melbourne. No ‘proper’ TT issued but an undated DL flyer with a frequency guide & route map. Effective 4/3/08.

Westrans Altona:

411/412 – 31/3/08

 

Kastoria:

Bellarine Peninsula Tourist Railway – latest TT leaflet dated 2008

Portland Town Service Routes 1 & 2 – new TT dated 2/08

Colac – Apollo Bay service operated by McHarrys now withdrawn (effective 30/12/07)

Warrnambool City Services – New PDF TT dated 11/07 although printed version still 6/07 with amendment slip for Port Fairy service

Vline have issued a DL size TT leaflet effective 25/2/08 until further notice for Melbourne – Seymour – Albury services due to speed restrictions between Seymour & Albury

Finally I picked up a new QR Traveltrain timetable & fares brochure at Spencer St yesterday which contains TT’s effective from 20/4/08.

Now that the most recent problems with the AATTC website appear to be resolved, I've taken this opportunity to clear a massive backlog on recent timetable changes that have yet to be updated to the Melbourne list, some which go back to February.  I've included a brief summary of the timetable changes so the list can be passed on to the Table Talk editorial team.

 

This list covers various news provided to the ATDB website via Jason Blackman, Matthew Gibbins, Mike Marshall, Bradley Matthews, Peter Parker and scottydl as well as myself.

 

Melbourne Bus Link - Routes 216/219 - No new timetable spotted as yet. Despite the withdrawal of the Melton extension at the end of 2007, new 216/219 timetables are still to be been issued, as they are awaiting a decision of the fate of Route 219 operating to Sunshine west on weekends. The 216/219 Saturday timings have also been changed by 5 to 10 minutes. In the meantime there have been new timetables installed at bus stops.

 

Ventura/National - Route 286 - No new timetable spotted as yet. From March 17 2008, the 05:55 trip from The Pines has reduced travel times to connect with 06:15 train at Blackburn. No new timetable sighted as yet.

 

Ventura/National - Route 304 - No new timetable spotted as yet. Commencing 10th March 2008 the Route 304 service departing City, Lonsdale and Spencer Streets at 17:58 was altered to depart at 18:05. This alteration of time is due to changes in traffic conditions.

 

Sita - Route 401 (North Melbourne Station - Melbourne University) - Undated. DL flyer promoting new pre-paid service that commenced on March which runs at 3 - 6 minute intervals from 07:00 to 19:30 on weekdays, with Metlink route map on rear side. Sita's name is not mentioned of flyer.

 

Westrans Sunshine - Route 406 - March 31 2008. Upgraded to minimum standards level. Sunday service improved from 70 min intervals to 40 min intervals.

 

Westrans Sunshine - Route 408 - March 31 2008. Upgraded to minimum standards level. Journey times extended to improve ontime running.

 

Westrans Sunshine - Route 410 - March 31 2008. Upgraded to minimum standards level

 

Westrans Altona - Route 411/412 - March 31 2008. 412 upgraded to minimum standards level, with Sunday services now every 80 minutes on each route, combining to a 40 minute frequency. 411/412 no longer runs down Everingham Road. Some changes to through-routing with 413 during peak hour

 

Sita - Route 454 - February 25 2008 - Upgraded to minimum standards level

 

Kastoria - Route 476 - March 31 2008 - Upgraded to minimum standards level. Zonal error on route maps, timetables being reprinted.

 

Northern - Route 540 - March 31 2008. Upgraded to minimum standards level

 

Ivanhoe - Route 548 - No new timetable spotted as yet. Commencing 11 March 2008, on weekdays the 07:15 from Latrobe University will be 07:10 & 08:00 from Cotham Road will be 07:50.

 

Ivanhoe - Route 551 - February 25 2008. New timetable reflecting new 15 minute services in the peak direction. V1.2-02.2008 on rear cover.

 

East-West - Route 560 - February 1 2007. Timetable has ben reprinted, with V1.1 - 08.2008 ????? on the rear page. Route map no longer shows Zone 3 in the legend.

East-West - Route 561 - February 25 2008. New timetable reflecting new 20 min daytime frequency & 30 min evening frequency on weekdays.

 

Dysons - Route 562 - No new timetable spotted as yet. Sunday service upgraded from two return services to every 90 minutes from April 7 2008.

 

Dysons - Route 564 - No new timetable spotted as yet. Upgraded to minimum standards level from April 7 2008.

 

Dysons - Route 567 - No new timetable spotted as yet. Upgraded to minimum standards level from April 7 2008.

 

Dysons - Route 572 - No new timetable spotted as yet. Upgraded to minimum standards level from April 7 2008.

 

Panorama - Route 580 - February 4 2008. Upgraded to minimum standards level.  V2.1 2-2008 on the back. Original print run was incorrectly dated September 15 2003.

 

Invicta - Timetable Booklet - 24 March 2008. 665 replaced with 901 (Ringwood - Frankston via Dandenong) Smartbus (see below), which is shared with Grenda's. 663 weekday frequency between Lilydale & Monbulk improved to approx hourly, 679 offpeak weekday frequency doubled from hourly to average 30 min intervals.

 

Peninsula - Routes 779/780 - March 24 2008. New 07:35 trip ex Carrum on Route 780 on weekdays, replacing the 07:38 trip ex Bardia/Fortescue. Route 780 travel times from Frankston to Carrum reduced from 25 to 21 minutes.

 

Peninsula - Routes 781/784/785 - March 24 2008. All 3 routes upgraded to minimum standards level. This provides a 20 minute frequency between Frankston & Mornington 7 days a week, right up until 10pm, with 177 extra trips per week in this corridor.

 

Portsea - Route 788 - March 3 2008. Upgraded to minimum standards level

 

Grenda's - Routes 802/804/862 - No new timetable spotted as yet. From 24 March 2008 the 17:47 & 18:10 Monday to Friday trips on Route 802 ex Dandenong have been extended from Wanda Street to Monash University. The 802/804/862 timetable is being reprinted to include these changes.

 

Peninsula - Route 832 (Frankston - Carrum Downs via Kananook & McCormicks Road) & Route 833 (Frankston - Carrum Downs via The Pines & Lyrebird Drive) - March 24 2008. Route 832 upgraded to minimum standards level & weekday frequency improved from every 45 mins to every 30 mins. Route now operates into Frankston North to replace part of former Route 831, and extended Carrum Downs to connect with 901 Smartbus. Route 833 is a new service introduced to replace 830 & 831 in Frankston North & Carrum Downs. It runs minium standards level, with 30 min weekday daytime service, and hourly at other times. From Frankston Station it operates via Young St, Fletcher Road overpass, Dandenong Road East, Dandenong-Frankston Rd, Forest Dr, Monterey Dr, Excelsior Dr, Dandenong-Frankston Rd, Ballarto Rd, Lyrebird Dr, Currawong Dr, Hall Rd, Cadles Rd, Wedge Rd & Dandenong-Frankston Rd to Carrum Downs.

 

Grenda's - Route 857 - March 24 2008 - 10 additional peak hour trips in each direction between Dandenong & Bangholme. Additonal 3 minutes travel time provided on the trips that operate Morwell Ave diversion.

 

Cranbourne Transit - Route 892 - No new timetable spotted as yet. The 20:05 & 21:05 trips ex Dandenong now operate 5 nights a week, instead of Fridays only. Its unknow the precise date this commenced.

 

Cranbourne Transit - Routes 896/897 - 7 January 2008. Omits 04:10 service to Cranbourne Station on Saturdays.

 

Eastrans / Grenda's - Route 900 - March 24 2008. Journey times substantially reduced to reflect bus priority measures. Improved train connections at Huntingdale. Last eastbound trip each night extended from Monash Uni to Stud Park.

 

Grenda's / Invicta - Route 901 (Ringwood - Frankston via Dandenong) SMARTBUS - March 24 2008. Pocket size TT. New Smartbus service operating along Stud & Dandenong-Frankston Roads, replacing Routes 665, 830 & 831. 15 min intervals on weekdays 06:00 - 21:00, 30 mins weeknights until after 00:00, Saturdays (06:00 - 00:00) & Sundays (07:00 - 21:00). Timetable is also inculded in new Invicta timetable booklet

 

Cardinia - Routes 926/927/928/929 - No timetable issued yet. Routes due to be upgraded to minimum standards level from April 28 2008.

 

City of Stonnington Metlink local area map has been spotted, effective October 2007.

 

And for the Victoria list:

Transit Portland - Portland Routes 1 & 2 -  February 2008 - The new timetable came into effect on 11 February 2008 and provides an hourly Monday to Friday & Saturday morning service on two one way loop services around Portland, Route 1 North & Route 2 South. Previously only 2-4 services were provided on Monday to Friday on each route.

 

Many apologies for the extreme length of this email, obviously I've got a bit slack recently. I hope updating this list isn't too much work, and that it will not overly distract from your excellent work of improving the fleet lists database.
