Back from holidays with a lot of work to be done and at this stage I can not see myself catching up.

 

I am currently not able for some unknown reason to upload any changes to the fleet lists so I have concentrated on changes which can be done online and those from the discussion board which are harder to keep track of. Those not updated online will have to be uploaded when things are fixed. And just as I was about to send this message, the problem was resolved so the fleet list changes have been uploaded.

A new T80 timetable was introduced on 25 March 2007 - main changes include an all-day 15-min frequency on weekdays (previously 20 min), and some minor changes to peak hour frequencies (up to every 5 mins TO Parramatta in the AM peak) and some additional trips from Parramatta to Bonnyrigg in the shoulder PM peak and evening until 9pm.

From the STA website – “New Prepay Only Bus service through Lane Cove Tunnel from 16 April
A new Route 297 Prepay only bus service will commence on Monday 16 April, operating through the new Lane Cove Tunnel.
This service is a peak hour service, operating Monday to Friday.
Commencing from Denistone East, the service will operate all stops to Epping Rd near Pittwater Rd in North Ryde and then express via the tunnel to Wynyard and then every stop to the QVB.
On the return journey, the first stop after the tunnel is Blenheim Rd near Warwick St.
No tickets will be sold on this bus. Customers will need to prepay before they ride.
The current Route 286 services operating to the City via the Freeway are being converted to Route 297 via the Lane Cove tunnel.
Current 286 services that operate via the Pacific Highway and North Sydney will be maintained.”

In fact further information indicates that 8 286 services are being changed to 297 so no extra services. Awaiting further timetable information.

 

As from the same date Hillsbus will also be operating a number of services through the Lane Cove tunnel. The timetables introduced in March already show the services will operate through the tunnel but a new timetable is expected covering the following routes:-

Veolia has issued a revised timetable for route 910 Bankstown - Parramatta, effective Monday 2 April 2007. 

Minor changes have been made to increase servicing during the AM peak until 10am towards Granville and Parramatta, and some minor alterations have been made for evening services towards Bankstown. 

The timetable also features selected wheelchair accessible trips.

This leaflet supersedes the four individual timetables listed for Sunraysia at the end of the Western Services section dated 19 May 97.

From Sunday 25 March 2007 Yarra Trams will be operating additional trams on Route 16. Trams on Route 16 will now operate to a 12-15 minute frequency from the City to Luna Park between 9:55am and 7pm and from Luna Park to the City between 8:53am and 7pm.
Passengers travelling between Malvern Depot and St Kilda Beach should check their stop specific timetables as the new services have resulted in arrival times being adjusted by a few minutes.

The Melbourne Bus Link Route 216/219 timetable has now been reprinted, but there is still one error - its missing the trip time arriving at Brington Beach on Saturdays after 2.01pm, so this timetable will be withdrawn & reprinted yet again!

(These is in addition to the 600/922/923 reprint I mentioned earlier, still dated 19 June 2006, but in small print on rear it reads "V.1.1 - 02.2007", with previously mentioned errors have been corrected.)

It appears certain, though obviously needs confirming, that Willunga Charter, south of Adelaide, have acquired old 2150AO, the MB OH1725/ M-T “Orbit,” going by the photo of it posted on ATDB last week, on charter in Adelaide.

Also, I’d suggest it might be an idea to arrange all the recent vehicles without fleet numbers, in rego. number order, from lowest to highest, as it definitely looks like they’ve abandoned the idea of fleet numbers on all recent purchases. (LS This only required one bus to be moved).

The following buses should not have a note of "Hendon": 260, 1763, 1782, 1787, 901.  The only buses which are semi-permanently allocated at Hendon are 898 and 899 but these will be changed over with other Camden Park units when required for servicing.

 

The gas buses at Port depot as at today were: 874, 791, 1785, 849, 1612, 790, 1761, 1617, 875, 1622, 1605, 1762.  Gas buses at Port are swapped over for other gas buses with another depot (Mile End would be my guess) when required for servicing etc like the diesels at Hendon are swapped over with other diesel buses at Port.

 

Word going around is that Hendon will get its own maintenance facilities towards the end of the year so it would mean a stop to swapping buses over at Port; and means it will have its own allocation.

“I was having a look at this great website but notice a small glitch in the Lynx notes.

The three vehicles with Connex were not cancelled by West Midlands Travel as such. WMT were in the process of receiving 250 units and Leyland needed two vehicles quickly. They persuaded TWM to accept a slight delay in delivery. As such, units LX1687/8 were replaced by units LX1760/1.

The same happened again a few months later and again TWM accepted a delay in delivery. LX1848 was replaced by LX1890.

TWM still received 250 units, although with different chassis numbers and slightly later.

 Hope you find this of use and keep up the good work.”

A new UNSW Express Bus timetable for routes 890-895 has been issued, effective April 2007. A PDF is available on the STA website  - it is the first time in a few years that it has been produced as a standard DL-size format TT.

 

Sydney Private Bus Timetables.

Hillsbus has issued a new timetable for routes 620-654 inclusive (Dural to City-QVB), effective 16 April 2007, version 1, incorporating changes to services via Lane Cove Tunnel on routes 620X, 642X and 652X.
