Yes there is but we intend to scratch build the whole internals and only keep the original WINGS, FUESLAGE and TAIL. With every other piece either being scratched built or the existing pieces being manipulated.
The primary proposal is that the wheels with suspension struts will be taken from the kit and modified. Cockpit, undercarriage with dam buster bomb and the internals such as navigators post and all gunner positions will defiantly be scratched built and the other parts will be decided upon arrival of the kit, which has not yet been purchased. The early prototype built in 2006 did exploit a 1/72 kit to its full potential. However, internal structure or detail was not put
in place nor built. Further more, the builder found that 1/72 finished product did not do justice to the time and effort that would be put into the later 1/24 kit. Hence the reason for building the super detailed Lancaster in 1/24.
Information found on the internet detailing pictures of navigator posts and a total walk through picture by picture is currently in my possession so at least I have some thing to work with.
yours sincerely
