Re: [avrolancaster] 103 Squadron

Marie,

you have probably done more rsearch than I can imagine on the 103rd squadron, but just a thought. Have you researched the on line catalogue of photos from the Imperial war museum?   http://collections.iwm.org.uk/

You can try to search by aircraft number or squadron - I know its a lnog shot but stranger things have happened.  If you get Flypast magazine, they have an extensive history of various squadrons and may be worth a call to their research dept to ask if they might know any thing or could recommend somewhere else?

I would very much love to read about  what you have already collected, infact if you have enough information the Flypast folks may even do an article on them as a featured crew as they frequently do.   do not have a military connection but rather a WW2 interest in aviation - specifically the Lancaster - the finest of all bombers.

Good Luck,

Hi Their, I wonder if anyone can help me find out more information on my Uncle who was with 103 squadron ! he was based at Elsham Wolds between 1941 to 1943 when he and he's crew all died in Ahrensfelde just outside Berlin. I know him & he's crew are all buried at the Berlin war cemetary, but i'm looking for any family members who might still be alive to-day who might have any photo's or information about him or he's crew as i have managed to colate quiet a bit of information on him so far but i am lacking any photo's of him and he's crew and their plane.

Also if anyone else would like any information that i do have on 103 squadron or my uncles crew i would gladly pass on.

many thanks,

Marie ( Neice).
