Well I had a quick bosh at putting together a version so you can get
drunk with your friends and make up new verses. Any corrections gladly
welcomed as would be the proper picking pattern. Anyway I play it
something like this (chords might not be in the right places but it
should be obvious where the changes are):

[d] if my hangover was a town it would be [a] Slough,
[d] if my hangover was a smell it would be [f#] one that [g] never leaves,
[d] and if my hangover was a [a] girl it would be [d] you.
The rest of the song follow this pattern, with some vamping on these
chords for the chorusy bit.
