Relic Tour at Jamyang London   Message List

Hi All

I feel a bit of relic myself after yesterday, but I volunteered to help
out from 10am to 7pm. It was a great day. What really stirred me was
that there were relics of Nagarjuna, who I have made quite a connection
with via editing Ringu Tulku's teachings on The Heart Sutra. In it
Rinpoche quotes Nagarjuna, and I found what I think was the quote in a
book on Nagarjuna's teachings, at Jamyangs' incredible library, which
clarified an editorial point. So lots of hasty scribbling down to get
it.

There was a small stupa made by Lama Tsongkhapa, and another made by
Atisha, as well as blood and bone relics of The Buddha himself,
and other lamas and teachers over the ages. Also included was the 1st
Kkamapa.

Who knows in 2000 years time what could be exhibited - a lama's mobile
phone perhaps!

Tim.
