I'm really sad to say that I'm going to be running down the BBG shop. There are various reasons for this but my decision was made last night when I found that some items have been taken. I don't think for one moment that this was anyone from our group BUT it must be remembered that the shop is never locked and many other groups, and members of the public, have access to Bosham House. I've spent today going through stock and at least 2 malas have gone missing.

Someone, quite correctly, said that this was their bad karma, but it's my bank balance! :-)

 

Also, Glenys, your card was there, but not the £15.

 

As a matter of urgency, I would suggest that BBG should approach Bosham House and ask for a lock to be put on the shop door.

 

From a personal point of view, the costs of selling on ebay have just gone up and I am generally operating at a loss. I was also disappointed when, soon after taking on the shop, I was asked when I would be buying more stock in! I had just spent over £2000 taking on the existing stock! On a practical note, few sales are made to BBG members and it is really only when Rinpoche visits that the shop serves a purpose.

 

So, there are malas currently discounted on ebay and all the earrings displayed on the wall at BBG will be half-price from the next time I visit. So, if you've been promising yourself something from the shop - buy it soon!
