Dear Friends
I was at the Chenrezig puja last night at Bosham Bodhicharya and we were discussing what we could do to help and show support for the Tibetans and their distress and oppression
The following is from Lisa, who has kindly offered us what she has done and if we feel like minded we can do the same and she is willing for us to use her wording or our own
Please let me know any ideas that you have for action and I will collate and distribute
Love and prayers

Hi All
Using the link below, I have emailed the prime minister about the situation in Tibet - apparently they use it to judge public opinion. Please forward this email to all who you think may be interested.
It really will help. They tally the subjects of all the emails they receive, and forward a couple of sample emails to the PM. Well worth doing... politicians do act according to public opinion if strong enough.
Express your concerns in your own words or , as some of you have requested, please feel free to use the email I sent below. Feel free to use as is, improve or modify to suit.
love and metta
Lisa

Dear Mr Brown
I am aware of the non-violent approach that HH Dalai Lama has, and as a fellow Buddhist I am in total agreement. But non-violent does not mean non-action. Just as pro-Tibetan does not mean anti-Chinese. I am also aware of the impending meeting between HH Dalai Lama and yourself. I do hope that if His Holiness asks for any 'active' support, the British Government will give it.
I am not asking anyone to do anything more than they can. What anyone person can do will be different for every individual. Depending on that individuals level of wisdom, personal circumstances, integrity, beliefs, social position, intellect, skill etc etc - these will all play a part in what we can do and how effective we are. I can write to you. So I do. What I ask you to do, is what I have done. Take a good look at myself and ask, am I really doing all that I can? And if not why? What am I putting over and above human life?
Please, as someone in a strong political position and in the public eye, do all you can to support His Holiness's peaceful efforts to bring the immense suffering of the Tibetan people to an end. Keep this issue alive and high on the political agenda until the situation is resolved. Please encourage other MP's to ask themselves are they truly doing all that they can? If not, ask themselves why?
