This April, we applied for participation in the BBC World Challenge
2008 Competition. This is a global competition aimed at identifying
projects or small businesses from around the world that have shown
enterprise and innovations (see www.theworldchallenge.co.uk for more
information). I would like to thank you most sincerely for your
support which will enable us to maintain our various projects. We were
nominated for upliftingthe quality of people without destryoing the
environment. Shanti runs a clinic, an Eco-village at Budhanilkantha,

Godavari, rehabilitation centre and handicraft Gaushala.





From more than 700 applicants around the World, Shanti Sewa Griha has
had the honour of being selected as one of only 12 finalists. There
was a specific project called "BEGGARS TO GIVERS"

We think this is already a fantastic achievement! Moreover, the BBC
has indicated that the Shanti stands a good chance of winning the
