Please find copied below details of the celebrations of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's 74th birthday being organised in London by the Office of Tibet, Tibetan Community in Britain and the Tibet Society. His Holiness' actual birthday is on the 6th July; this event is being held on Sunday 5th July to enable as many people as possible to attend.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama's 74th Birthday Celebrations

Date: Sunday 5th July 2009

Venue: Conway Hall, 25 Red Lion Square, London, WC1R 4RL

Please come and join the Tibetan Community and the office of the Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in celebrating His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s birthday.

Guest speaker: Sogyal Rinpoche, founder of Rigpa and author of the bestselling Tibetan Book of Living and Dying.

Prayers for the long-life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be offered at the start of the afternoon's programme. There will also be Tibetan crafts, books and cards available at a variety of stalls, Tibetan food, children’s workshops and traditional Tibetan songs and dances performed by the Tibetan Community dance group.

Doors open 3pm. Programme starts at 4pm. Entrance is free but donations are welcome.
