Hi Steve,

Welcome to the list,

The village school closed a long while ago I'm afraid - long before I
came to the village - and has sinced been converted into private
flats. I am sure someone will know when this was done.

Most kids in Beal go to Kellington Primary School in the next village
of which I am the vice-chair on the Goveners board so let me know if
want a prospectus etc. They also run a pre-school nursery which
introduces the kids to the school meaning their introduction into the
primary school is very smooth.

In these days obviously the choice of schools is down to the parent
and you have many other schools such as Chapel Haddlesly, Cridling
Stubbs, or Knottingley to choose from, but you will have to apply to
these as we are out of their catchment area. Beal is in the main
catchment area for Kellington Primary School, meaning by default any
child living in Beal will have a place reserved at Kellington School.

If you want any detailed info about the school - as I say, let me know w.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

Trevor.
