congratulations to our parish council for maintaining for yet our
third position in the league of all the parishes in the Selby District
for the highest precept charge. our parish council talk of inviting
Birkin to amalgamate with us. If the people of Birkin decide to join,
then let the villagers know that where in previous years they pay
little or no precept, this year for those on band D would have had to
pay an extra £63 on thier Council Tax Bill.
