GOD!! Loads has been happening with Bird. First off, Amy has left us: she's either going to America for a 6 Month rock odyssey, or she's going to be playing bass in the new band of Bonehead from Oasis and Mike Joyce of Smiths fame.
Techie T has also decided unfortunately to call it a day, so we are now on the look out for 2 more people to join us.
The auditions will be taking place in a couple of weeks - and if you're interested in taking part, send an email to lucy.davies@bbc.co.uk . GENDER IS NOT AN ISSUE! We have decided to stop being so sexist - if you're good, you fit the band and we like you, you too could be in Bird.
Recently we were the central focus of a 6 part series on the World Service, about the music business in Britain, and what it was like to be us! Also, Loco productions are very keen to do some recording of us, all set for the next month.
So far so good, more gigs to follow, but in the meantime, get practising if you want to audition!!!
