I joined in the hope of meeting people like me that I can be open and honest with without fear of retribution and ridicule. I'm in my 40's and have known i was bi since about 13 but have kept it a secret until now. I can't wait for a meet but I'm also a little aprehensive as I haven't been able to be honest with family and friends. What's your situation? Have you outed to anyone.

Hi everyone,

There is a group that meets monthly in Cardiff on the first Thursday every month.

We meet 7:30pm in the Quaker meeting house on Charles Street for a discussion/chat space followed by a trip to the pub at The Yard from 8:45pm.

However there used to be quite a few people turning up and then we had venue issues, then most of the committee and some members moved away at the same time and we're lucky these days if 2 people turn up.

So when people do turn up they come once and then it's too small for them to come again.

We'd like to revamp the group and give it a kick start again, so if anyone has any ideas of what you'd like to come along to or if a different time or day would suit you better please drop an email here or post on the FaceBook group for Bi Cardiff.

Dropping out of my usual Lurk to say about a new publication on bisexual
life in the UK that has just come out last week.

Called The Bisexuality Report, it's a publication bringing together all
the best research and information that is out there about how life is
different for bis. It's been published by the Open University, so it has
the academic credentials to be a good resource to quote whenever you find
yourself needing to challenge anyone in authority about biphobia (anti-bi
prejudice and discrimination).

The report has been a collaborative work between academic group BiUK,
visibility group Bisexual Index, and bisexual magazine Bi Community News.
I think it's quite good, but then mine is one of the seven names on the
cover so I'm biased!

room. Because of the unsociable hours I sometimes have to work I haven't been
able to make any of the socials since finding out about the group and due to the
fact that they are only once a month. Can someone please tell me if I'm doing
something wrong or perhaps on another planet. Am I missing something? Would love
