Hello To All Other 6 Series Owners Although I Am New To The Club I Am
A Past Member Of The BMW Owners Club And The BMW Drivers Club Both
Excellent Organisations. Having Owned A Variety Of BMWs Since The Mid
Sixties From A 63 2002 Convertible Still In The Family And Now Owned
By My Oldest Daughter And Was In Concourse-ish Condition Having
Gained The Odd Win And A Few Places At Various BMW Gatherings And
Classic Car Shows Over The Years When Owned By Me ( I Can`t Believe I
Gave Her The Car For Nothing!!) My Son-in-Law Runs His Own Car
Repair Business So Its Still Alive And Kicking And Gets Used
Occasionally In The Summer Months.Through Various 3s And 5s Which I
Didn`t Keep For Too Long Then I Discovered The 7 Series E23 And
Bought A 1981 735i Auto In 1988, Top Of The Range Model Too All
Leather All Electric High Milage At 105,790 But Full BMW (Milcars)
Service History From Day 1 Still Owned By Me And Still Has Full BMW
Service History (Bates of East London) At 189,784 Miles On The Clock
And Every Mot Since 1984 And Enough Bills And Receipts To Paper Your
Front Room With Not Concourse Because Of Everyday Use But A Superb
Vehicle. My Only Critism Of The 7 Series Is It Is So Big And Heavy
And Juicy!! That The Superb Bmw 3.5 Litre Engine Is Wasted And Needs
Powering Something Lighter And Lower And More Slippery And With A
Manual Gearbox To Get The Best Out Of It...Thats When In 1991 I
Discovered The Perfect Match... A 1979 635 csi 5 Speed ZF Manual In
Roadworthy Condition In Fact The Bloke I Bought It Off Who Lived Near
Darenth In Kent Also Had A 1978 633 csi Auto For Spares Or Repair And
I Bought Them Both Drove The 635 Home And Went Back The Next Day And
Towed The 633 Home With My 735 With An "A" Frame Towing Bar I
Borrowed...............To Be Continued
