Please Keep in contact with me as I and another friend (both new owners of
635's) are chasing after broken up 745i's for the motor.
When you read about the 745 they had lower compression ratio....because of
the turbo......Oil sprays to cool the underside of the pistons and two knock
sensors.and in the last of the 745's they had much nicer con rods (stronger
design).....the turbo is a tiny T25....T03 would be a better bet for a 3.5 L
motor.
the external waste gate is nice but the Log style exhaust manifold is
horrid.
We are looking at trying to source a couple of blocks then fabricate tubular
exhaust manifold with twin turbos sourced from a R33 GTR
skyline......turbo's second hand are pretty cheap...and rebuilding them is
not that expensive.
Anyway do you want the highline style bumper or the narrow chrome
bumper...as I've for the front and rear?
The highline bumper is not as bad as the US version but the chrome style
narrow rear design is hard to source.....although FAB BMW might have one.
I saw the car they were breaking the other weekend (bought the interior) and
the rear bumper was still on it.....the front was already sold.

Subject: [BMW e24 Club] Newbie, few questions about bumpers
Hi folks,
I am on my 2nd E24, first was a 80 633 canadian spec. I just bought
a 87 635CSi canadain spec car that is spotless inside, almost
perfect outside. She is replacing a 95 M3 Lightweight, aka M3 GT
that we got in the states.
The only problem, we were very unlucky over here in the states since
we got the big ugly bumpers. Since I plan on keeping this car a
long time and making her exactly the way I want, was wondering if
anyone had some contacts for a complete set of euro bumpers.
Also, I was looking at the member pics and I would love to talk to
some of the turbo owners, as I plan on getting some 745i parts,
making my own turbo system for the car. Nothing crazy, but just a
nice 300hp luxury ride.
Thanks for any help or leads
Mike
