WANTED: BABY TOYS FOR FRIENDS OF THE MINI MINTS SESSIONS AT MINT STR   Message List

Re: [boroughbabies] Re: re: baby toys fro mint street, FREECYCLE

Yes Freecycle is brilliant!

I belong to the Lambeth group. It's harder to get hold of OFFERED
stuff , it goes really quickly and you need a car to get round and
collect things. Everything I have posted to give away- from empty
oyster shells (couldn't bear to chuck them in bin) to old PC monitors
have gone in hours.
If you're after something you're better off posting a WANTED email
and getting people to reply to you, rather than trying to get in
there and grabbing one of the OFFERED items.
Some people are flakey and don't turn up to collect but generally
people are good.
You need to OFFER something first and don't put your phone number on
the email, you'll be swamped! Don't join the London wide group unless
you like getting 200 emails a day...
HAPPY RECYCLING!

best
