Re: [boroughbabies] Get Trained to a local Family Arts Guide!!!

Hi Rebekah,

I am really interested in getting involved in this project, it sounds amazing
and may be just what I've been looking for.

I live in Borough and have a 11 month old son, Max. My previous work experience
is in PR and marketing in the travel industry. I am a really good facilitator
and communicator and have extensive experience in taking media and travel
professionals on tours so I'd hopefully bring some quite relevant experience to
the task. Also I am really keen to get involved in local activities and more
than happy to be available for 2 days a month.

Can I register for the open day on 9 July, and creche, with you?

My only question would be whether there is a creche facility available on the
days worked or can I take Max along?

I really look forward to hearing back from you.

Kind regards,
Murielle

Would you like free tickets to sought-after events this summer?!

SOWF Family Arts Guides (August and September, 2 days a month)

Paid £20 per day-trip + free tickets to sought-after arts/music/dance events

Get trained to be a vital link between your community and high-profile arts
organisations
such as the Southbank Centre, Tate Modern and Unicorn Theatre. Join this
exciting project
to involve more local people from Lambeth and Southwark in the cultural
opportunities on
their doorstep.

We need people who are interested in spending two days a month taking families
on fun
day trips and giving feedback to the arts organisations about what works for
families and
what doesn't. You will be motivated, friendly, a good organiser and have
children of your
own or an interest in / experience of family issues.

You will receive full training and ongoing support will be offered through
local community
centres. We are pursuing possibilities for further training after September.
Attendance at
the training day (15th July) and evaluation day (17th Sep) is required.

Informal open days on the 9th of July at Coin Street Children's Centre
10am-12pm.

(Crèche facilities provided but ideally need to be booked - either return
e-mail Rebekah

`Before I was invited to go to the Tate Modern with the nursery I never really
knew what
was inside just that it was for posh people. I was shocked when the staff found
a space
sat us all down and started to read a story, Then they looked at a painting and
starting
doing an activity with the children. I thought the guard was going to tell us
to get up but
no-one did. My child did a lovely picture copying the picture in the Tate'.
