Dear All,
Thsi from the Riverside Parents'....
Fantastic new soft play sessions are now up and running thanks to the
Riverside Parents Group. Some amazing new equipment has been purchased
and delivered, everything from toddler exercise bikes, balance beams,
climbing frames, to breastfeeding beanbags, sensory tunnels, baby ball
pits, big boy and girls ball pits and a sound system.
Sessions run Monday 3 - 4.45pm (it's important we all leave the
building at 5pm) Tuesday 10-12am and Friday 10-12am.
It's at the Downside Fisher/Training for Life building on Druid Street
(by Tower Bridge Road). There's a café area upstairs where food and
drink can be consumed so packed lunches etc can be brought if desired
and a park outside in case there's any extra energy left to wear off.
PLEASE, PLEASE come along and support these sessions. Surestart are
funding them but only until 1st April. It is VERY VERY IMPORTANT that
as many people as possible go along in the first six weeks in order to
demonstrate how vital these sessions are for the local area and to
secure future funding.
The very first session is on Monday 23rd February, so spread the word
as far as you can - we need loads and loads of people to come. The
local press will be there on Monday, so if you want your little'uns
in the paper – you know where to come!
We're going to set up a 'feedback' thread on the forum and please feel
free to give any suggestions/thoughts to the playworkers running the
sessions or any Riverside reps you see – this is a work in progress
and we want to make it really brilliant, lead by ideas and thoughts
from the parents.
Thank you ever so much for supporting this,
Best wishes,
Julie
