Hi Russell,
Sorry for the delay - thanks for that information about Rutland
Road. Its a shame that there are no official photo's about - I have
searched loads of places and it seems to have been left out - I know
bus depot's are not the most photogenic of places but they do serve
a place in transport history.
If you do manage to find anything , do please let me know and in the
meantime I wil l keep scouring the books and internet archives.
Thanks a lot
Andy

latter years it was a repair garage and storage depot and there
was a open air plot wich was used to store foreign coaches to
royal blue ie blk and white and other coach companies on a nightly
basis there were about a dozen mechanics, cleaners a supervisor
general manager and a big boss in overall charge i even remember
after the great fire at bmth coach station a couple of the burnt
coaches were stored at rutland rd depot with fire extingiushers on
hand to use if they were to reignite i dont have any photos but
only memories of great times they even had a wash room area with
state of the art coach washing facility will try to locate some
photos of depot im sure my family must have some some where it
was a great place some one should have put a plaque up to remember
it regards martin
