The BOURNEMOUTH TROLLEYBUSES book was published by Trolleybooks in
2001 and was written by David R. H. Bowler.
Unfortunately I am not able to scan it but the book was widely
available at the normal transport book specialists. I know that the
Ian Allan Bookshop at Waterloo has copies and any of the forthcoming
bus rallys should be able to provide a copy (Cobham on April 6).
However, I obtained my copy direct from the Yellow Buses enquiry
office at Mallard Road, but that was in 2001 so I doubt if they
still have copies. You could try MDS Book Sales (01457 861508)
which were selling copies.
Trolleybooks address is:
Trolleybooks Joint Publications Panel,
PO Box 2437,
Reading,
Berkshire,
RG2 8YQ.
The book ISBN is 0 904235 19 X and it retailed at £27.50. It is a
large hardback book with 264 pages and fold out maps.
It is an excellent book, but not for the feinthearted. Everything
is detailed, even down to when individual bus shelters were erected
or how much money was taken in the uncollected fares boxes. But
there are also some excellent pictures.
All I now wish is that someone would write a book about Bournemouth
MOTOR buses....
Regards to all
James
