I wish I could help, I've many memories of trips from Bournemouth Bus Station
using a Day ticket - 70p in 1971/2 for all H&D + W&D services including joint
services so you could get to Swindon, Gosport, Winchester, Andover..... The
vehicles used at the Bournemouth end varied, there was a limited stop to
Southampton via Ringwood that was worked by bus shell dual purpose RELHs, others
usually were Lodekkas of varying sorts, LD, FS, FL mostly, not often an FLF on
the routes I used though.

Does anyone here have any records of bus-spotting expeditions they
made in and around Bournemouth, preferably late 60s-mid70s? I'm
interested in building up a file on which vehicles were seen on which
routes. Also, if anyone has any info on which routes were allocated
to which bus stop bays in Bournemouth bus station, that would be much
appreciated.
Ultimately I'd like to put together a simple PC simulation of comings
and goings at the station. Working from observations and timetables,
it should be fairly easy to work up an accurate representation of
movements during the day - even down to which vehicles could be seen
at layover in the central parking area.
You can email me off list if preferred at
carpetcrawl99@... but I think quite a few here might be
interested in this kind of detail...Thanks!
