Hello
I know someone who wants to buy a folding bike and I know someone who wants to
sell a folding bike.
I'm planning on bringing these two together so that they can perform this
exchange in an amicable manner.
Anyway, the folding bike is a Brompton. It is between 5 and 6 years old but I am
told it is in extremely good condition having only done a bit over 100 miles.
The owner bought it in London and then moved to Brighton where they've found
they don't use it much.
I haven't seen the bicycle yet, but I think it is a 5 speed. Neither the seller
nor the buyer know much about bicycles. The buyer wants to use the folding bike
for commuting to work going partly by bicycle partly by train each day and of
course the Brompton is superb for using with public transport.
So, does anyone have a ball park figure for a 5-6 year old Brompton 5 speed in
good condition?
An additional question, does the Brompton have a restriction on the weight of
the rider and if so how much? I ask this because the potential buyer is a bit
large, but not very large. I think he is probably a bit over 15 stone.
