RIDES TO THE COUNTRYSIDE

A DAY AT THE EAST SUSSEX CYCLE FESTIVAL

VERY EASY RIDES FOR NEW RIDERS led by Bricycles.

Meet at 2 pm at Brighton Pier on any of these dates. Just turn up with your
bike! Easy short ride along the seafront for a coffee stop and back to the
Pier for 4.30pm. Pace set by the slowest rider!

DAY RIDES TO THE COUNTRYSIDE with experienced rides leaders

Sun May 8 – Lunch at Pevensey!

Maximum distance: 45 miles Difficulty: moderate

09.00 - Meet at the Swan pub, Falmer village

10.45 - the Old Loom Mill, Nr Polegate, on the Cuckoo Trail

13.00 - at the Smugglers Inn, Pevensey for a pub lunch (or bring sandwiches)




Sun May 29 - Ride to Washbrooks, the working Family Farm at Hurstpierpoint

Maximum distance:15 miles Difficulty: easy to moderate

Meet outside the Rotunda Café, Preston Park at 10.00. Discover the A23 cycle
path. Arrive at Washbrooks at 11.30 approx. Coffee stop at their café.
Return to Brighton pm.



Sun Jun 26 - Lunch in a country pub in East Sussex

Maximum distance: 50 miles; 30 miles if getting the train back. Difficulty:
moderate.

09.00 - meet at the Swan pub, Falmer village

09.45 - meet at Lewes train station. Ride together on quiet roads

10.15 - morning break at Middle Farm tea rooms, Firle

1 pm - lunch at the Oak country pub, Brown Bread Street (or bring
sandwiches)



A DAY AT THE EAST SUSSEX CYCLE FESTIVAL

Sat July 9 and Sun July 10

Maximum distance: 25 miles Difficulty: easy with a few hills.

Meet at the Level at the Elm Grove end at 10 am on Sat 9 July and on Sun 10
July and ride with us to the East Sussex Cycling Festival at Firle near
Lewes. We will call at Lewes Station at 11.00 and at Glynde station at 11.45
to meet with riders who take the train part of the way.

Wed June 8 - outside Moulsecoomb Leisure Centre 10.30 to 1.30 pm

Wed June 8 - by Whitehawk Youth and Community Centre 2.30 to 5.30 pm

Sat June 11 - outside Moulsecoomb Leisure Centre 9.00 to 1.30 pm

Fri June 17 - by Whitehawk Youth and Community Centre 2.00 to 5.00
