RE: [brightonhovecycleforum] Velib style hire scheme for Brighton & Hove

Hi David

Here are the contact details of Mark from Citybike.

I think Mark is based in Ovingdean.

I met with him last year and he is very keen to set a scheme up in B&H.

I tried to set up a meeting with the administration without any success.

I am sure he would be delighted to hear from you.

With best wishes

Ian

Subject: [brightonhovecycleforum] Velib style hire scheme for Brighton & Hove

Dear forum members

I have been asked by the Director of Public Health to explore the possibility of piloting a free bike service for the city similar to the one in Paris.

Does anyone have anything they can send me regarding schemes of this kind:

  • Evaluation reports
  • Feasability reports
  • General info
  • Knowledge of any similar work carried out previously in the City
  • Any known businesses/contacts who might be interested in bidding to provide such a scheme

Many thanks

David
