Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm the Bristol contact for the above organisation that has a very active club in Bristol. BPW UK has been going over 70 years and our governing aim is "to help women achieve their full potential in all aspects of their lives". As well as operating locally, part of what the UK does is to work with other non governmental organisations as part of the Womens National Council to lobby government on issues effecting women (and men) and members have met with Harriet Harman in that role. We heard about you following your 'Reclaim the Night' campaign in Bristol. Interestingly we've just moved our meeting venue because of concerns our members were voicing about the city centre at night.
We have an event coming up at the Hilton Hotel, (Aztec West) on the evening of Thursday 11th June entitled "What gets you hot under the collar?" which is intended to be an opportunity to discuss issues that are effecting women today. Would you be interested in being a member of a panel to stimulate the debate? I thought it would be a good way of profiling your organisation and very relevant to local women.
I've attached details of our next event on 22nd April which you're very welcome to come along to and a copy of our latest newsletter so you can get an idea of the sort of thing we get involved in.
Do please give me a call if you are interested.
