This group is created for anyone interested in "Floral Garden" produced by W.Britains Ltd.
The terms of reference of this group is to discuss anything relating to the Floral Garden range (Metal or Plastic). For example; The range and its history, photos of individual items, photos of model settings made with Floral Garden, questions on the items themselves, any exhibitions with floral garden exhibits attending.
At the time of starting this group, there was little or nothing anywhere out there on the web about this unique heritage garden builder toy which was produced in the 1960s in plastic (and previously in cast lead).
Group members have already contributed a significant amount of photos and information to build up what is probably the only public database in the world relating to this product. I have started a website www.floralgarden.plus.com and I hope that others with a wish to do so will carry on providing material which will eventually go on it or will produce sites themselves.
This Yahoo group is not set up to be a location for buying and selling items, but within reason that would not upset anyone. The moulds no longer exist, and the ownership of rights to "W.Britain Ltd" have changed hands several times. Therefore any items in existance are unreplaceable and of finite supply. When it's gone, it's gone. So why not use this site to ensure any surplus items move onward to a good home?
No profanity, no insults. Everyone has an opinion and all members must remember that the other person just *might* be right.
