I'm not going to do a Jools Holland but it's nice to look back and
see some of the activity on this list over the year.
The database of pictures and information has grown. It is still not
comprehensive (particularly the metal version) but that's more of an
opportunity than a problem. Any offers of pictures of boxed and
unboxed FG items would be useful in building up the records.
I'm still up for exhibiting a substantial Floral Garden set-up if
the opportunity arises. Our portable 2 ft x 4 ft layout is still in
existance and ready to go, but we can colletively do better than
that. I can't imagine what sort of venue it might be (annual model
rail or toy soldier meeting somewhere?) but it would probably be
a "first" for a decent Floral Garden assembly to be put together.
This year we discovered for sure that the moulds for this product no
longer exist, so unlike Airfix who recovered most of theirs from
around the world last year, this can never happen with Floral
garden.
eBay continues to be a place worth looking for odds and ends to give
a good home to as well as highly collectable mint items if that's
your interest.
Toy and model fairs I have been to have been dissappointing
for "finds". Does anyone knows of a good one please?
So thanks to all for all our contributions. Here's to a better 2009
for all of us in every way.
This is never going to be a high throughput list, which is not a
problem because it won't clog up your inbox and anything asked is
going to be of value. I hope you consider it to be worthwhile and
look forward to more in the coming year
Happy New Year
