The quick answer ...
Wake up at the back there Nigel! <g>
The boxes contained 6 of each of two colours of Gladioli. I think the Herald
bags contained the same. It was the colours that were swapped here and there but
I couldn't say which are the rarest? There were six double heads and six single
heads to each pack. Maybe someone else on this list might know a bit more?
One Pack would normally contain 6 double gladioli with 12 flower heads & six
single gladioli with six flower heads.
The cauliflowers are not Cauliflowers .. they are rock plants that come in 3
colours, blue, yellow and white. they go with the "raised" flower beds in the
rock garden. I think the same applies to them about the colours in a pack. Only
2 colours to a pack. The yellow ones seem to be rarer than the blue and white
ones but that's only from what I've seen offered on ebay.
If you need proper clarification I think I have Britains boxes and Herald packs
I could check for you.
Happy to help Diane ('scuse my sense of humour)
<<Hi
I wonder if anyone knows the answer here?
I have a Gladioli box & some Gladioli, but I don't know id all of them belonged
together? The list says it is 12 Gladioli (2544), but is this 12 plants or 12
flowers, and if it is flowers, did the packets originally contain 12 of two
random colours? There appear to be 3 colours red yellow & orange, but the heads
are in groups of 6. Any ideas anyone?
I also have some plants that look a bit like cauliflowers, but have no bases and
appear to come in blue and in white. Any idea what they are and how they were
originally packaged?
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
