Hi Guys & Gals

It's been busy on here :-)
And I missed it.  Serves me right for going on holiday.
Glad to see some traffic and long may it continue.

I can't add anything much to this thread except Jon's request for brochures. I just added a folder to the PHOTOs section with a scan of my one and only brochure.

Also to say that when they ceased making it in lead, they produced the early plastic range (late 50's into 1960s) then the more sophisticated plastic range (removable self-colour plastic heads, not painted) until they ceased production in 1974 (or thereabouts). Some of the later stuff is labelled "herald models" and came in cellophane plastic bags stapled with a card at the top, rather than the distinctive britains pink and white card all-over boxes. All these variants can be seen on Ebay at various times.

Later they attempted to relaunch it as a set called "Lucy's Garden" in the late 70's but that really was a last gasp and maybe simply using up old ready-made stock in sets to clear the warehouses?

Many thanks to all who have been adding stuff to the database. It's great to see a resource coming together somewhere, because there was none on the web (not that I could find anyway) until this one.

Peter (the idiot who created this list!)

Hi Tracey,

You should have the cash by now. I think the payment should have my postal
address with it - or I hope so, but I'll send it to you off group anyhow.

Cheers for now,

Jon P.
