I agree with you about the hinges and your idea looking out for the moulds or resin casting some are better than my idea of piano/fuse/jewellery wire painted black.

You are right about the conifers ... I only ever saw them sold in with the rock pools & I bought my first floral garden in 1959 (I was a very young child!)

I never saw anything sold especially to go in the tops of the gateposts. I had to put roses in my gatepost tops ..... roses were amongst the cheapest packs to buy along with the paving, gates, lawns and garden swings. I had to save up for ages before I could afford a greenhouse! LOL

<<I had considered resin casting some replacement hinges if they ever went completely in the future.  I often wonder where the original moulds were. Resurrected-Airfix for instance, shipped all their moulds from France and elsewhere into one place last year and some of those pre-date FG by a decade. I wouldn't be surprised if the FG moulds still existed somewhere.>>
