I have posted two images in the 'aesculus' photo album that I had
presumed to be Aculus anthobius galls on Galium aparine.

But I understand that an amendment to 'British Plant Galls' has
disassociated A. anthobius from G. aparine.
Can anyone advise what the images might be of?
Whatever they are, they occur annually in July on galium aparine
growing through a Hawthorn hedge in East Lincs.
